Scarponi was involved in Operacion Puerto and returned from a ban in 2009.

The cases are completely different.
Ricco tested positive on multiple occasions. Scarponi has been working with a banned doctor.
Giving both of them the same penalty wouldn't be fair.
I agree that it is not fair... Ricco should have been banned for much longer!!!!

First of all - get your facts straight.
Ricco tested positive on multiple occasions
Do you follow the same sport as I do? Riccò only tested positive once, in 2008.
"Scarponi has been working with a banned doctor."
Yes, Fuentes and Ferrari - the doping doctors.
Wake up.

And besides working with a doping doctor, he was charged with doping products which resulted in a 18-month ban several years ago.
Wake up.
"Tested positive on multiple occasions" was probably not the best way to word it. The blood transfusions that almost killed him after he returned also counts as a positive to me. At least it proves that he has never and will never race clean.
But if you'd like to see the biggest asshole in the sport's recent years back, feel free to do so.

Wiggins, Armstrong, Evans....never had a positive test. You know why? Because they can/could afford to hire expensive doctors to cover their intensive drug-use. That's the truth.
Riccò could not, unfortunately. |

Somebody tweet him this:

I think it's not gonna happen. I think with the amazing roster they have, Sky are looking for a podium at all 3 GTs. Giro and Tour could be easily doable with Wiggo and Froome (Not sure about the Vuelta with probably Henao, see how much he improves until that).
If they send both Wiggo and Froome to the Tour with full peaking, they would have to sacrifice the Giro... |

It is weird though, that one of Ferrari's clients (Armstrong) can test positive several times, and the other (Evans) none. Shows how wild the testing is.

I agree.
Why is Wiggo saying these things? I wonder why he does it. It's clear that Froome was the better climber, and this year TT will be less important than climbing (I hope). But then again, maybe that's the reason, his ego is a bit hurt, maybe. |
