Short reports, sorry Smile
Tour of Britain - Stage 3
Jedburgh - Dumfries

It took almost 30km for the break to form today. In the end it was House(RCC), Bush(CDT) and Clarke. Rogers was up there for a while but didnt have the energy and slowly dropped back to the peloton.
In fact Rogers won the first IS.
House took the first 2 KoM's and the second IS.
Bush took the 3rd KoM and final IS.

With 20k to go the gap was 1'32
With 15 it was 1'05
The catch came with 7km left.

Tour of Britain - Stage 4
Carlisle - Blackpool

If it took a long time for the break to form yesterday, today it took an eternity! 50km to be precise. In the end it was Lavery, Puccio(SKY), Van Poppel(RB3), Chaddock(XRG) and Feillu(SAU).
Puccio took all 3 of the days KoM's. Van Poppel took the 2 IS's from the break.
i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k587/Average_Man/Hammarling/PCM0002-6.jpg

With 20km to go the gap was 1'26
With 15k it was 55"
The catch was again made with 7km to go.

Suddenly with 5k to go there was a faller in the pack, and a crash...
Both Rogers and Clarke went down, and went down hard. As a result both lost their top 20 positions.

You can guess the sprint winner.

Comment: A simple two days for me. Just riding in the peloton and staying out of trouble. Most of the team has been trying hard to get into breaks, and so far are 4 for 4. There are 2 tough days ahead, with our home stage in Stoke and then to Caerphilly. My legs are good, so lets see what happens.

"The End of The Beginning"

So this is it. The end of my first year as a professional cyclist.
Its been a truly fantastic year, the best ever. Ok, so the training has been long and hard, the weather has been unkind at times and the results have eluded me, but its been good.
It feels so long ago i was lining up for Alentejo. I was so nervous it was funny, and now i can go to a race with a quiet confidence. I've made massive strides this season.
Alentejo was learning, and seeing if i could cope. At Maldon Dengie i was a key helper. Eventually i could even attack at the Tour! Just wow.
The team has been supportive and fun. I've really gotten on with Phil, Matt and Marcin... oh and Lucy.
I don't really have enough words to express the season. All i know is 2013 will be amazing. At least i hope it is.
Node4 Rexona will be a force thanks to the signings. And i get to ride more, now i have no exams or other work. Another top5 will be nice.
This will be my last blog, so i guess i should say this.
I'm not sure if i'll be doing this blog in 2013. Node4 are thinking of having another rider take over, maybe Jack Donaldson or Luke Rowe. Of course i'll keep you updated and let you know the outcome.
All i'll say is massive thanks to all of you who have followed and supported me this year. You've made it all the better.
Goodbye, and see you in 2013 i hope.

Karl
