But great stuff from Sagan, exceptional talent. "Talent" is probably wrong word though, "star" feels more accurate. |

Well, he started the sprint as far out as Kittel often does, but Marcel certainly wouldn't have gone that backwards when Sagan launched.

I'm interested to see how Levi does in the TT tomorrow. Hopefully he will do very good and show that the leg or his form isn't a problem.

Right. It's not a prologue.

Imagine the carnage if this guy was in the Giro.
AToC isn't big enough for a rider like Sagan anymore.

I haven't been following it but it seems like it has been a really boring race. One rider dominating is rarely fun. I have to agree that Sagan is just too good for HC races anymore.

Oh my, he did it again and poor Hausler second again, there is no competition for Sagan in California, now three too hard stages for him possibly, working for Nibbles and last stage win to make it 5?

I think this officially calls for a small stats raise
meh, lower Kittel. I wouldn't call for a stats raise until he is proven against top tier sprinters.
He was proven last Vuelta, but no against Cav,Greipel, he is not that fast of course and main thing he has not 6 riders dragging him to the line like they do with Cavendish. That is the most impressive thing for me, that he is every sprint in great position without leadout or with Oss only. Kittel is the next sprint star for me, but not the top WT league so far.

Well for 1) Kittel was 117th today. 2) He came here as a training camp for Tour 2) That's why his hill stat is low
Too easy for Sagan though again, same with CT, good I didn't waste any time staying up for this
It's not about Sagan being too good enough for .HC races. It's the sprint competition that isn't overly great and many riders treat this race as a total training camp.

Funny thing is, that for Sagan it is nothing more. He was not racing for a month prior to the race and this is Tour build up probably, just like for Kittel
But of course the sprint competiton is not great (and Kittel sucks on speedbumps and higher).

What a bore of a race. And I hate when these guys start winning like there was no tomorrow. Sagan can win two more stages, the one in Big Bear Lake and the final stage. |

Sprinters don't need much training to be good on their level, not surprised Sagan is decent here. All the sprints so far had a few hills in them and that helps Sagan. Kittel on other hand is shit on hills and the course is to hilly for him, if it was pan-flat ( many in Tour like that ) he'd take win. Obviously Sagan will be better at Tour but as a sprinter you don't need to or race that much anyway. As well as that the competition sucks, making Sagan look like a God
Yea, you got it as well in edit. I am impressed with Sagan a lot anyway, for a 22 year old, he's just amazing.
