Dull race, but very good finish, except the crash of course. |

I'll summarise it by saying this:
It was rubbish, and then the Cauberg happened.

WTF Cunego, looking to the right before going to the right is always a good thing to do.
Hopefully both are alright, Nordhaug for FW, Cunego for Trentino and LBL. |

Gilbert killed everyone with that attack. He could have won if he wasn't forced to go so early.
He's back, no doubt about it.

Sagan's inexperience is once again his worst enemy. He launched his sprint way too early.
Pity for Vanendert. It is great to see the potential that he showed when he was Gilbert's lieutenant being put to good use.

Dont forget Vanadaert was super strong las tyear also, but had to work for Gilbert. He might be the favourite for the next two races also.

Gasparotto did absolutely nothing in the past year, and now comes from nowhere to win the Amstel Gold Race. What is this I don't even. |

I'd bet on him for the other two classics this week.
Actually, I just wouldn't bet against him.

I could have just woken up to watch the last 5 minutes of the race rather than stay up till 3 am watching the precursor. |

If it's any consolation to you, I don't Nordhaug had any chance to win this.

Love how Cunego blamed Nordhaug for the crash, stupid Italian not bothering to look to his right! |

Back? He could attack at any point during the race last year and still win He's still far from that form. |
