Thanks a lot everyone! Unfortunately over the Easter Holiday, I had to study for a test, as I knew absolutely nothing on some of the topics, within the subject. SO that took up most of my time.
I hope to have the final two stages, done by the end of the week. Thats the best I can "promise"

I think you have a nice lay-out and it's quite nice that on your screenshots in the deserts, it looks like there's dust all over the screenshot. |

20.2.14 Tour of Oman - Stage 6
Qurayyat - Mattrah Seafront
Its the final stage here in Oman! I dont think my race has been as good as I'd have liked it to be, but Boasson Hagen has again, done great. I dont think anyone can look past Eddy for this stage either, so a bit of bonus time could move him up just a little more in the GC.
With only about 50km left in the stage, I heard the words in my ear from the DS. "If you're feeling good, have a go. The peloton shouldn't see you as a threat"! I went on the attack, and stayed clear for about 20km but I was brought back! The whole time, I was in chase of the lead group who had a large gap to the peloton...
This group of 8 riders with 20km to go, has a gap of 5 minutes. No one in the group is a threat to Geniez' lead, nor Boasson Hagen's position.
Ignatiev tried a move with 15km left. The gap is down to 3 mins so its possible he could catch them, if he rode fast. More likely though, he'll get a top 10 stage finish.
The BOTD reaches the finish line, and Roldan is the winner. Yelko Gomez finishes 3rd, a great result for him!
And Ignatiev inches out Hagen for 9th place! Its a great effort by him, and Hagen now has the Points jersey won! Great ride by the team today, a good way to go out!

I know, I was just kidding
But in Pellizotti2's story, he wins everything with 1t4i, that's why.

Obviously this classic has a lot of the favourites here like Cancellara and Boonen. I think that Maaskant will be able to get the team a Top 10, but my main goal is to have a good ride myself. I am supposed to be one of the last remaining helpers for Maaskant, if everything goes well, which I think it should! I feel good today, so lets see how everything went!
The satge began with the pace quite high, thanks to Lotto who felt it was mandatory to put the pace on high.
A large break of 14 riders got clear, but there was no one dangerous in the group, and the peloton had them at a controllable gap the whole way. We still couldn't be too sure, so we had Creber jump in and help chase a few times.
Garmin put up the pace, and the crosswinds, created a very thin lined peloton. It later slowed down a bit, but it was a hectic period in the race.
With the slowing of the pace, I thought it would be a good time to attack and try and sneak away with 40km left. At first I had a huge gap, but then some of the leaders pulled me back, so I sat up and tried to help Maaskant.
It was not fun riding at such a high speed on the cobbles. I let the peloton catch me, but I had dropped back into a small lead group!
We take a small descent, meaning I can recover a fraction. It would be enough to help Maaskant though.
Then Ballan put in a move with 15km left. It was risky, but he was followed and I was thinking that his move would be the winning one, but...
Boonen made an attack, and just flew past Ballan's group. Boonen collected a few others, Cancellara and Hushovd, and they looked like one of them would win the stage!
Thor starts the sprint and obviously from sitting on the other two's wheels he will have the most energy! Its looking good for the God of Thunder, but he still has a long sprint left, and Boonen is a very good sprinter himself!
But Hushovd holds on! What a win for him! Boonen takes 2nd, a decent result, while Maaskant cracked on the final cobbles section, so he could only sit in the final leaders group. Thomas actually did better than Maaskant did. I went for the line hard, and snuck past any camera's but I finished in 69th, not as good as I had hoped, but with the strength of the startlist, and my late attack which gased me, not too bad.
