I haven't looked it up, but Alarcon's hill stat is fairly poor isn't it?
Well if we look Rodas vs Alarcon in their Stamina/hill abilities then it's Alarcon who is my favourite for tomorrow.
Rodas has 71 hill - 68 stamina while Alarcon has 73 hill and 71 stamina + the nationality bonus on his side... but I believe a high pace or perhaps even early moves by Alarcon is needed to actually gap not only Rodas but also his strong CSC helpers!
It will be a very close battle - can't wait to see the final outcome!

Surprise, surprise, surprise! Lil' Alarcon is gonna get got!
Also: Attack by someone from Team WWE, attack goes in, and makes Team WWE win team GC. And that's the truth, the only truth, and nothing but the truth.
Spoiler Using R-Truth quotes are funny. Ain't that right, Lil' Jimmy?

68 stamina is more than enough for a stage just over a 100km, imo.
Alarcon is a bit better in the hills than I thought. |

Glad that Nazaret could get into 5th, it makes the tour worth coming for. Hope i'm not talking too early, our team sucks in the hills so anything is possible tomorrow. Also good to have a 52s teams lead! |

Yeah, this might be true. Without Vasquez he would have gained the 7s for sure.
But I still think that Alarcon will win the overall on the last stage. He isn`t a real puncheur but still better than Rodas. So a strong attack and maybe even bonus seconds in the finish would suit him well.
Both of them would deserve it imo. Let the better one win. |

Nope.
At most, Vasquez gifted Rodas 5 seconds.

That's good to hear. And for today's stage. I still think Rodas will take the overall. I don't think Alarcon has the strength to power away on that hill, nor sprint for bonus seconds.
But Alarcon surprised me yesterday, and he looks up for it. Hopefully he can give another surprise today. But this will be really wide open. Hard to pick the stage winner, maybe Kessiakoff or Castano? If it comes to a "bunch sprint," it should be Carrara's stage. |

Last stage update: It will come at some point later today. Ill be giving the live post format another go, after some very occasional use in previous seasons. (Although this time, writing the report completely in advance, so it doesnt end up too long a gap between starting posting the report, and ending it)

Please let the breakaway stay clear.
Would be carnage on a stage like today. |

Looks like a breakaway stagewin, hopefully there will still be attacks in the bunch. This is way too exciting! |

Oh ... I just got on. Great ride by Lewis taking a little pressure off Rodas and the rest of the team. Can't wait for the finish.

It'd be far better without your ridiculously large sig. picture.
