The final segment of the show is the all important NQ Vote. In this segment of the show, we will hand out all of the results given by the countries that didn't make the final. Let's remind ourselves of the top 3 standings..
1st | Armenia | 83pts | 1st | Germany | 83pts | 3rd | England | 82pts |
Due to a smaller than usual amount of points, we will show you the smaller results in 1 go - the results from 17 - 6. So let's start revealing the results
Now with that done, we have the same leaders as before - Germany and Armenia. They are tied on 90pts, but as we know, everything can still change.
Now it is time to see the top 6 acts from the NQ results. There is a tie for 5th, these acts will receive 15pts. This may not be much, but it can make all the difference...
Spoiler Portugal
Just 5 left now, and I know what you're thinking. Yes, the contest has been won from this far out before. Can this next act strike gold today?
Spoiler Colombia
Now we are down to 4. In 4th place with 16 points which equates to 9.6% of the vote, it is...
Spoiler Micronesia
Let's have a quick look at the top 10 before we reveal the top 3 finishers in the NQ Vote.
I can see Tamar and SDP looking very nervous in the green room because they know that it all comes down to these final 3 acts and their results. So,
let's put them out of their misery - starting with 3rd place with 18pts is...
Spoiler Sweden
So, it looks to be between Latvia and England for the victory. Who will it be though. The shares of the vote will be crucial in deciding who takes the win tonight. The totals will determine everything, so let's find out who will be receiving 21pts from the non-qualifiers.
Spoiler England
They take the lead, but it all comes down to the total that Latvia will now receive from the NQ Vote. It is...
Spoiler
Latvia

Spoiler That is not enough to become the next champions of the DSC, we have a winner of the 10th DSC and it is ENGLAND! For the first time ever we have a British winner and it is the Nevadan band representing England, Imagine Dragons. Their snappy, heavy and post-apocalyptic stage show has secured them victory in this 10th DSC. They have taken the win from slot number 5 and from the first half, just like Kensington did back in Greece. Let's speak to the guys, but first let's look at the top 3.
1st | England | 103pts | 2nd | Germany | 90pts | 2rd | Armenia | 90pts |
'It feels amazing to win. It rewards all the hours we spent in the studio, on planes, in rehearsals, days sacrificed in order to make this a winning performance. We just wanted to prove that by working hard you can win,
you've just got to be aware of the sacrifices. This is a win for music, the people behind music and we'll see you all in England soon!'
1st | England | 103pts | 2nd | Germany | 90pts | 2nd | Armenia | 90pts | 4th | Ireland | 75pts | 5th | Scotland | 73pts | 6th | Latvia | 70pts | 7th | Australia | 68pts | 8th | Serbia | 67pts | 9th | Portugal | 64pts | 10th | New Zealand | 62pts | 11th | Micronesia | 61pts | 12th | Norway | 60pts | 13th | Belgium | 54pts | 14th | Sweden | 44pts | 15th | Colombia | 41pts | 16th | Wales | 40pts | 16th | The Netherlands | 40pts |

NOTE - I'm really sorry for the big gaps between posts. There was a mix of work, YouTube, other commitments and vacation getting in the way. I hope I managed to make the finale worthwhile and I'll see you all again n England

Oh come on :/ Armenia would've deserved this one! An American band winning this for Britain has a bittersweet taste. The song is great surely, but too mainstream and too "wrong" countrywise for me. Great to share the podium with Armenia though!
Also very happy to see Serbia and New Zealand in the Top 10, as well as the good late run from Micronesia and of course Latvia!
Kensington on 16th is a snub though, a great song that just suffered under last year's success I guess :/

Argh, I'm not satisfied with my own result, also not a friend of he winner, for the same reasons Croatia said. Although I like the song and prefer it over Armenia song-wise.

Well I could think of organizing it if wanted. But I can neither prepare those fancy videocuts nor any graphical art, would need support for that.
Of course that all only with Ewan's permission, but he was online last time yesterday so there should be no problem for him to answer to it (and luis' question).

Don’t worry guys, an 11th edition is being worked on at the moment. The DSC will return for it’s final edition this winter.

All things must come to an end
It is the final edition in it's current form I should say. I struggle to find the time to have a life on the internet as well as my real life. I will be 17 during the next edition and I've got bigger things to worry about (no offence).
This forum game has been a big project for me and it has tested my organisational skills, graphic design and writing skills for sure, but on top of that I've done it for fun. I love watching the old recap videos and reminiscing about old editions and favourite songs.
Thank you all for your patience and it's great to see that people are still interested in this game. See you in London!

The DSC Touches Down In London
The promotional bus advert was commissioned in secret by the BBC earlier today.
After the announcement that the upcoming 11th DSC will be first take place in 2018 but will also be the final edition of the current DSC. Today this was followed up by host broadcasters, the BBC, with a theme launch and potential logo unveiling. Before now the host city had been kept secret, along with the time frame. Today the BBC secretly revealed all this information with a double decker bus advert. This could only mean one thing, London calling!
The advert stirred up a lot of confusion in the DSC fandom, but the BBC soon came clean and stated: 'we wanted to keep this all a secret, like a easter egg for DSC fans to find and speculate about. We're glad to finally let the secret out and unveil the first draft logo and the official theme of the contest'. More information is expected be released in the coming days, including the venue, host and anthem reveal before the selections can begin. Scotland have already scheduled their national final to tomorrow night, but all other selections will happen in due course before the big shows which will take place this Winter. |

@ Ewan: Don’t know if your okay with me posting this or if you wanted to keep this space reserved for other announcements but I wanted to say this anyway.
I’ve been inactive on Daily for the best part of three years now, mainly because of not playing PCM anymore. However yesterday I went to check what was happening with Daily at the moment and I stumbled across this contest. I absolutely loved reading through the thread, being a fan of the Eurovision Song Contest and knowing that the musical taste of the Daily members differs from time to time but also because of the passion of the competitors and the way you (Evan) organised all of this in such a great way.
I’m probably three years late with this but thank you Evan for the creative idea, the graphical work, the input to make the contest work, and for making Kensington the winners of DSC 9. Seriously, in real life I’m such a big fan of them that they kinda do know me personally in the meantime
As I said earlier, this is my first post on Daily in three years, and I would like to announce that I will be participating in the 11th DSC, due to be held in London. Seeing your announcement that there’s a very high chance that it’s the last one, I couldn’t let the opportunity slip away from me
