As an official neutral in the GC battle, I, like any sane person, will be cheering for Konig or Talansky.
Much appreciated.

Or will there be some surprise winner? How cool would it be if an EPIC rider would win that? (who is not from a communist dictatorship)

Technically, a communist dictatorship is a bit of a paradox....
It's a shame people from dictatorships claim they are communists, gives them a bad name. |

I've not seen any custom rider from America who could go for GC, so no, I didn't want to express that I'd like somebody from America to win.. would even prefer Kim over some grandpa winning

Yeah, let's turn this into a political philosophy discussion!
You're right, but I don't see any chance for buildung a communist society without the step in between of building up a proletarian dictatorship. So, yes, communist dictatorship is paradox, but socialist dictatorship is needed on the way to loosing any institutional state.

He is the break of the day, it consists of Seeldraeyes (AST), Ochoa (AND), Grmay (MTN) and Bennett (RLT)
The breakaway roll through the first KoM, they know it's going to be a hard day. Garzelli (VIN), the mountain jersey leader is on the attack to snap up the last 2 points and he speeds down the hill.
Sky take control of the peloton for the first time in this race. They have allowed the break to go in front 4'00" already with 120km to go.
Garzelli can finally see the break insight. Sky have kept the gap stable around 4 minutes.
80km to go now, Garzelli has successfully bridged over and the group now have 5 minutes. The weather is terrible, I'm sure Brad won't be enjoying it.
Bennett cheekily nips in front of Garzelli for the second KOM. Vini Fantini all but secure the mountain's jersey bar an accident.
50km to go, the leaders start to come to the front preparing for the big climb to finish the stage.
Txurruka (CJR) and Deignan (UHC) decide they want to attack.
20km to go Duarte attacks away from Chaves and Danielson who tried to break with him. 15km to go, Chaves returns to the peloton. Duarte pushes on a joins Deignan and Txurruka.
Break
|+1'28"
E2 - Deignan, Duarte, Txurruka
|+34"
E3 - Danielson (GRS)
| +42"
Peloton
The break hit the bottom of the climb, this is what we have all been waiting for! Garzelli decides too speed it up straight away, Grmay and Ochoa respond.
Grmay and Ochoa drop the rest of the break, Deignan, Duarte, Txurruka, Danielson and the peloton are still away behind, it's going to be close if they can make it.
Behind in the main guys, Talansky decides he has to go early, Costa is the first man to reaction and causes a chain reaction. Konig and De Vries follow and TVG a little later. Wiggins doesn't move from the peloton just yet.
What a select bunch we have here, Konig, De Vries, Wiggins, TVG, Costa, Sagan, Horner, Brakjovic, Velits and Po-Ding. they still trail the breakaway riders.
But no one takes it up and the peloton draw them back, surprising considering the teams would have let their leaders go... We can see here the time gaps. Talansky is the man in optimum position now.
Nope that's not Horner, that's Bennett for RLT, it's about individual honour today apparently.
5km to go this is what we go, it looks like another breakaway win, Talansky is the garmin man you can see 5th on the mountain. Sagan and Rolland have got themselves in the group just in front of the peloton.
This is incredible by the MTN rider Grmay, he still leads the race. The gaps are closing now though and now Horner, Velits and Rolland start to go. No reaction in the peloton, they just try and grind it out.
It's Talansky's final push for home, he sparks panic behind. Rolland and Horner start overtaking breakaway riders. Costa and De Vries attack for the peloton and Velits stays in there.
Talansky goes through the hardest part of the climb, it's almost a stroll to the finish now for him, the remains of the breakaway stay in touch with him though. De Vries drops Costa, Duarte sticks onto him. The group on the left contains TVG, Wiggins and Konig and Po-Ding, they don't make any moves.
They couldn't contain him! He wins with a big margin to the rest. He took the risk early on and it paid off. Some how the break riders still carry on to out climb the GC favourites, incredible by them.
Here is the second group. Seeldraeyes comes second from the break! That's Rolland and Horner behind. Jordan Lewis of BMC attacked on the final parts not TVG.
Po-Ding brings in the yellow jersey group, lots of big riders here. Konig will be very disappointed with that they finish a massive 1'52" behind Talansky.

Look at the change in the GC, Talansky tasks yellow after his performance, there will be some very disappointed guys and teams in the Top 10. They just didn't have the legs and were poor tactically.

The game is broken definitely, the ai was stupid and breakaway outclimbed guys like Konig and Wiggins, ridiculous. |

Wasn't meant to be. I'm glad König didn't finish on the podium, because that would have really sucked. With a sixth place, I can accept that riders were better than him. What a ride from Talansky though. After all the fight for seconds, it's good to see someone show guts and get a great stage win and overall victory.
Nice result by De Vries. I don't like that rider since he's just a non-active member I can't be bothered with, but Champion System sure deserves all the success they get.
Horner third. Ugh. My propaganda failed eventually.

Yeah, I still don't get why people insisted on PCM 2013 for the Grand Tour. I bought PCM 2013 a few weeks back and after a couple of days I already noticed that the Stage Racing AI is a big pile of garbage.

Horner up to 3rd, I will take that.
A great ride from Bennett today as well, I have really liked the speed of this Nacho.
Goal achieved if we can stay upright in the last stage. |

Ouch, Po-Ding. Rolland saved our day, but Po-Ding underperformed here. 2 GC Top 10s seems our fate. Points-wise, that's good, but we hoped for more.
Po-Ding has plenty of credit at Europcar though, so he doesn't have to worry about that
Looking really forward to new rankings though. Europcar should be up there around now.
That should better give a massive reward at the end of the season

What a messy stage. Wiggins failed maybe because the lack of support riders ... |

2nd place is all we could have hoped for
Still, kind of sad that Talansky took it. That could have been prevented. It wouldn't be that hard to get over it if the likes of Po-Ding, König or so had taken it..
EDIT: Racing is so fast at the moment! I see all the HQs struggling with the pace But what is season break for?

Pace is amazing indeed atm. That's great, because it has been totally different multiple times. My HQ is already outdated now
