Thanks for the report.

Really sorry forgot to save the results, I will screenshot them tomorrow just before stage 2 and post them up before I report it
Hoping that I can see a couple of my guys even though they're probably not in top 10. I can see from the 3rd last SC that at least two guys tried to sprint

No NetApp - Endura, I expected that since we don't even have a decent sprinter in our line-up. Hopefully König will tear up the peloton rather soon though.

Quiet day for Cannondale. Was hoping we would try to go in the break, since we don't have a favourite here. |

Tour de San Luis Stage 5
And here we have it, the long awaited and much anticipated 5th Stage from Argentina. I feel that a breif update is in order.
Stage 1 saw Katusha's Porsev outwit the great Peter Sagan and take the Yellow Jersey.
Stage 2 went disappointingly to the break, with Bretagne's Gerard taking the stage and Netapp's Schnaidt taking the yellow jersey by a full 5 and a half minutes!
Stage 3 saw out first mountains and another Katusha rider, Rodriguez coming to the fore as he takes the stage an a lot of time back on Schnaidt who never the less manages to hold on
Stage 4 was the time trial, where Bradley, who's not in top form, still able to beat all comers against the clock. Yet it was the North Korean Kim who gained the most as he took over the race lead.
And so here we are for Stage 5. The profile is nice and level before a great spike leading up to the finish. However, with the peak of the climb 10kms before the line, how will the climbers fare on the way down?
And we’re off again! And the attacks come quickly, with Androni’s J. Ochoa (Ven) the first man in the attack. He’s followed by 5 others, the most notable of whom is Timothy Duggan the Road Race Champion of the USA.
These 6 men are able to build a gap, but yet they're being pinned down at just 3 minutes. Europcar are getting substantial help from Orica Greenedge, Weening must be feeling good today!
And so we come to the Intermediate Sprint of the day as M. Russom (MTN) rolls through in top spot, with I. Zakarin (Rusvelo) in 2nd and T. Duggan (Saxobank) 3rd.
The break never stood a chance and they're brought back more than 10kms from the start of the climb. Yet most of the peleton is still here, so everyone should still be farily fresh. But this is about to get serious!
As we get onto the great climb, 5 men ride off the front of the group! And the yellow jersey isn’t one of them! We’ve got the real sensation of the race so far, J. Rodriguez, with Kangert from Astana, pre-race favourite Wiggins and 2 Cannondale men, Sagan and Basso.
Europcar regroup and bring them back, though it doesn’t take long before Rodriguez is off again!
And the Spaniard has a gap! Only one man is able to join him, the Estonian Champion Tanel Kangert.
And then we’ve an attack from the yellow jersey! Having used up all his helpers, Po-Kim is out to defend his lead! Behind him the peleton explodes.
Going over the top, it’s the Spaniard who takes the maximum points ahead of the Estonian.
We’re onto the downhill and we’ve a few groups near the front. Rodriguez is leaving all the work on the front to Kangert, despite him having everything to gain. 46’’ back is Kim, and his GC is slipping away!
18’’ further back is Konig.
12’’ behind him is Hintermuller.
A trio of Chaves, Duarte and Wiggins 12’’ behind him but bearing down hard.
Much further back (3’30’’ from the front) are 31 riders including Sagan, Gesink and former leader Schnaidt, who’ll be falling further back down the GC by the end of today.
Here we are with 2km to go and it’s still Kangert leading it all out. He’s basically handed victory to Rodriguez, along with the GC. That’s poor tactics from the Astana rider.
And the Spaniard easily wins the sprint! And he absolutely has reason to celebrate! He’s got the yellow jersey! And based on his form, this commentator can’t see him letting go of it.

I have come up with the top 10 gc and stage results for stage 2 results now so no problems there. Currently racing Stage 3 so hopefully Stage 2 and Stage 3 tonight, second one may be up around 1am GMT though.
I actually have a A5 sticky note stuck on my screen saying "Export the damn results!" |

Finally! Anyway, I have no idea why we were pacing and Weening didn't attack. Anyway, same time as most favourites, so not unhappy.
Also, Limburg has been raced. Preview coming up shortly.

Good race by König & a nice 9th place overall by Benedetti too, overall a decent showing by NetApp - Endura. Hopefully we will continue with such results in Catalunya.

Exported the results!
Nice to see San Luis Neillster, it's a shame Katusha don't have an active manager. Good report nevertheless

Hmm, Po-Ding in the Top 3 is good, would give me some points if he holds on

Sagan 9th on a mountain stage, I love him.
He should be able to keep his 5th place, since he has quite a big gap to 6th. Now if only I could get a stage win... |

Volta a Catalunya - Stage 2
Start
We start the second stage! Bennati (SAX) shows off his leaders jersey after yesterdays stage win. Attacks come from Txurruka (CJR) and Kiendys (CCC) but they don't result in anything. A breakaway forms afterwards though containing Mangel (FDJ), De Vries (OPQ) and again Wellens (LTB) in the climbers jersey, no points on offer on today's stage though.
Sprint
All three riders sprint from 1km out, Wellens has the edge and looks likely to take the sprint.
And he does, he takes 3 points and 3 bonus seconds, De Vries in second and Mangel 3rd. They have a 4 minute lead over the peloton.
70km
At the midway point the 3 up front have a 2'45" lead.
Saxo are in control of the peloton holding a steady pace to protect Bennati's GC lead.
48km
The three up front have 1'26", they will be reeled in a long way before the finish.
Sprint 2
[img] [/img]
Wellens wins this again with Mangel coming second this time and De Vries third. They slow up after the sprint and will be caught.
34km
And with 34km to go they reeled in, everyone is in the peloton now, will anyone go for an attack?
20km
Peloton rides into the circuit that finishes the stage, Saxo remain on the front but the teams with sprinting ambitions show their face up front. Reports are that Mezgec (ARG) crashes again, what's the chances of that? He is at the back of the peloton now but with the speed cracking up, they he isn't likely to contest the sprint.
14km
Lampre are all over the front, Scarponi finishes a big turn, Roche of Saxo takes over the front.
8km
https://i41.tinypic.com/azdq52.png[
The extremely fast pace Lampre have set has put some sprinters off the front and they struggle on the bumpier terrain. Stromberg, Kroupis and all of Lampre and Orica block the road. No sprint trains forming yet.
3km
[IMG] [/IMG]
The sprint trains form very late and don't pull out the peloton, Lampre and Orica are locking heads around the bend. Stromberg, Cristobal Riquelme, Gavazzi and Richie Porte of all people are in the wheels of the two trains.
1.5km
The Lampre train powers head, Orica are left trailing, Bennati is in prime position for the win on the wheel of Lampre's newly chosen sprinter Palini being leadout by Cimolai.
1km
Palini goes after 1.3km but Bennati is quick on his wheels and only needs 200 metres to come around.
300m
It's too easy for Bennati pulls right away and will cruise over the line.
Finish
He crosses the line hands in the air, it is 2 from 2 for Bennati and he extends his GC lead!
Palini comes in second for Lampre, the rest of the field come in just behind, it was a messy sprint with not all the sprinters there, few of the GC riders getting involved, Richie Porte gets 4th! while Perez and Sami Sanchez (EUS) both beat Stromberg over the line as well as his own teammate Hesjedal. Intxausti of Movistar and Cimolai, Lampre cross in 9th and 10th respectively.
