Well, that's the 2nd time in my 3 years (and 20 days) here!
Though, as last time, it'll probably be for only a day or so
Still, HAPPY!
Thanks La Gantoise! |

So, a couple weeks of heavy rain finally took its toll here, last night it rained nonstop for about 12 hours, so far I think 3 people have been confirmed dead in the Houston area.

Quite shocking, we usually have a drought this time of year before all the tropical stuff starts threatening us.

Talking of football, FIFA is finally beginning to self destruct:

So how big a game is 'State of Origin' down under?

Pretty massive. Like everyone watches it (in NSW and QLD at least). Was in Queensland for it in 2007 and I've never seen so much hatred for the colour blue |

I have never watched it and have very little idea about what it is. Something to do with Rugby, New South Wales and Queensland.

A rugby league (quicker, more exciting than Union) series (best of 3) played each year between NSW and QLD. It's huge. Usually top 3 nationally each year with TV views + large crowds. I'm in enemy territory tonight and the only NSW supporter where I am, harassment all round!

American agencies have played a major role in bringing down Armstrong, and now possibly Sepp Blatter, atleast parts of FIFA. If Sepp Blatter gets brought down and dragged through the mud because of this, I'll forgive the US for everything they've ever done.

I hope this is sarcasm Even in NZ it's a fairly big thing, I'm watching, as always, as a neutral down here.
Also on the FIFA raids, it's Christmas for me, I hate FIFA and especially the WC in Qatar, the news about SA mildly surprised me, as far as corruption in FIFA can I guess though I have a niggling feeling it's a setup by Blatter to make himself look clean before election, everyone ousted as corrupt except for him.

Not sarcasm, Some random round 10 (or nine or something) AFL game is getting more attention than the state of origin. I didn't even know it was on.

Talking of FIFA, Blatter's gone. Just the same, but different!

Also, this should probably be in General Football News. Sorry.
