Just want to mention that highest MO stats will be 83.
But that does mean that most of those will just move up +1.
Which ones were the 80,5s for you?
If the highest stat is 83, I would for sure give Landa 81 now. I know that he probably havent shown enough to deserve it, but I just dont think it can possibly be a fluke after being the best in the mountains against Contador, Aru etc. I would probably also raise Porte to 81 due to his early season domination, but im aware it would make him a legit GT-contender now which he isnt - maybe just give him and low REC do compensate for that. With 83 the highest, I would put them like this:
83: Contador, Froome, Quintana
82: Nibali
81: Porte, Landa (both with relatively low backup stats so it doesnt make them worldbeates)
80: Rodriguez, Pinot, Aru, Valverde, Bardet
79: Uran, Peraud, Tejay (I honestly thinks he deserves 80 - so far, he has been very good in MTF's), Majka, Pozzovivo
78: Mollema, Talansky, Martin, Costa, Fuglsang, Kelderman, Kreuziger, Hesjedal
77: Kruijswijk, Henao, Navarro, Yates etc.
Only thing I disagree with is that Kruijswijk needs 78, otherwise Amador would have 76, which would be rather wrong. Also Kruijswijk show great climbing skills on level on say Fuglsang, but was not the best at saving energy for the important parts. Looking at the Giro, I would say that 1 MO difference is the ideal thing.
This is my pre-Tour list updated today 83-78: Also whenever I do these stat I also take into consideration their TT skills, past form, current form (like Landa and Tejay) hill stat, rec stat which is really important for a GT contender. Also on how the game designates the team leader, For example if Landa gets a higher stat than Aru he would be leader, also if Peraud gets same stat as Bardet he will get leader because of his superior TT skills.
83: Froome, Contador, Quintana 82: Nibali 81: Aru, Landa, Tejay 80: Rodriguez, Valverde, Pinot, Porte 79: Uran, Talansky, Bardet, Hesjedal, Pozzovivo 78: Majka, Rolland, Kelderman, Costa, Kreuziger, Fuglsang, Spilak, Peraud, Mollema, Meintjes, Kruiswijk

Thinking about it I kind of agree with you guys that Tejay should be 80 now and we'll see how he does in the Tour. He also has a good TT which gives him another high stat in GT's
@Bob
Meintjes is probably more realistic at 77 than 78 thinking about it.

An upgrade might be needed for David de la Cruz? (my DB might be outdated but I have him at 73 MO only -> 75?)
I´m not sure about that...he wasn´t really climbing that impressive to get a 75 (like for example Valls), even at Net-App Endura last year when he got some chances (counting out that great P2 at stage 6 in California last year)

You mean he wasn't climbing as impressively as Valls or he doesn't deserve an MO stat equal to Valls'? In the second case I agree, because I have Valls at 76. And I don't think finishing 13th in GC in Dauphiné would be possible with MO 73.

Surely Tejay has got to be up there after his Dauphine, and then there's Simon yates who's been climbing well this year, especially at the Dauphine. Anyone's views?

I said he was around 81 but as others said wait until the TdF is over, as he will be up against the very best GT riders.

Hmm 13th in Dauphine is good, but to be honest this Dauphine was not that strong with many climbers not interested in the GC here...I really like de la Cruz, and would love to see him on 75, but looking at the riders who were interested in the GC he only left Kiserlovski and de Clercq behind him. So I see your point, but wouldn´t ay he´s that strong looking at this Dauphine. 74 could be fair though.
I think Backaert (Wanty) deserves an upgrade. He's currently at 68HI, 69CB. I think his results in Dunkerque and Roubaix should make him deserve about 70-71 HI and 72-73 COB.

Even though i love Meintjes i can't understand why you have him on 78, he really impressed me in ONE Dauphine stage and he did exellent in the Liege Bastogne Liege but besides that he haven't done that much too deserve that yet, i would put him on 77 at max with a decent HIL stat as well, he is still young and will develop well ingame with the right potential but i understand you put allot of weight on current form so i can't blame you.
I don't agree with Landa either, with 81 he would be able to take a podium in the Tour de France and i don't see that yet, the peloton in the Giro wasn't that impressive even though he was almost the same form as Contador. At least Aru has backed up his climbing skills in three consecutive GTs.

I already said that Meintjes was more 77 anyway in a later post.
But I disagree with Landa as he rode like an 82mtn (but being conservative have put him 81) this was impressive as he spent the first half of the Giro slaving for Landa but still had the energy to dominate in the third week.
Landa even with 81 mtn is still not going to be a podium contender with a top class field of GT men anyway. Simply because his TT skills are crap they're like 65-67 which means in game riders like Contador and Nibali will always beat him by mins and a rider like Froome in TT would destroy him. So at least with 81 he can ride with the best in the mtns.
What about Geraint Thomas. He might be ready for a small increase in mountain, after that hideous climb in Suisse.
That new kid Jan Hirt (what a name !!) really showed some good promise in climbing such a brutal climb. He obviously have done some nice climb result this year.
Geraint has done very good this year and increase in several stats, but this climb surprised me a bit. It was very long and very steep to boot and Geraint just had more power than Henao and lots of other much higher ranked climbers.
Guess the effect of the yellow jersey helped Tom Dumoulin to outclimb himself, but he showed surprising power in climbs too.
What could be new stats in climbs for some of these boys ??
what about linus Gerdemann, he was recently very strong

@Jesleyh What are the big 4's REC stat?Because Contador's REC should still be higher than Froome who usually struggles on the final week
Why is Valv 79 btw?
