I'm not sure how to interpret the news article.
https://www.hln.be...rief.dhtml
I understand the conflict between Luijkx and TDG is mostly about not recieving payment for the premature ending of his contract by the end of this season. His contract span for another two years.
I really hope that doesn't litterally mean Thomas is litterally fired as of now because I hoped to see him at the team's fan day this month

True story. Glad they didn't move to Sky. I think they will be allowed to get some chances at Orica |

Good move for them. And Sky can always sign one of them as GT leader if they finish in the top 36 of a Grand Tour at some point. |

A successful clean rider in days when clean riders were generally not successful. He is one of the riders who it has been most easy to trust in the last few years. The sport needs more like him and will miss him.

Good times
BMC's old men start to retire, then. Lots of room then for Rihs to continue to sign more riders with no rhyme or reason or any idea of the balance of skills that makes a squad successful
Care to explain please? |

Luijkx has send a demission to De Gendt. Quite unrespectfull considering De Gendt had been trying to make sure Luijkx/Vacansoleil have to pay as little as possible during his negotiations with other teams.
whats that about?
have I missed sth?

True, but this year it does not seem so bad with Atapuma, Velits, Stetina and young Zabel coming, dont know if i forgot someone.

It's not that hard: the team is ending, so they formally need to fire everyone with contracts for 2014 and further, unless they want to pay them fully for the duration of their contracts. Now De Gendt and other riders can appeal this decision and the court will decide how much of a compensation they will get, based on Dutch law. It's a standard legal procedure, nothing to be surprised about. |

Well they are losing Frank ( their standout rider along Avermeat really this year ). Santaromita as well as Pinotti.
So it kinda balances out. Frank for Velits. Stetina for Pinotti. Atapuma for Santoromita. ( I am not comparing riders directly here )
Dillier and Zabel do look promising. Although BMC training techniques I am not sure are really great for youngsters.

That should be a nice move for Hoogerland. And as for Ion, I'd kinda knew he would end up in Movistar after his brother went there as well. |

De Gendt to OPQS. That's about as bad as it will get.

Who the hell is this?
Also, rumours are increasing about Gatto to Cannondale and Basso to Saxo.
Which would instantly double Cannondale's awesomeness imo.
