Transfer Season 11/12
CountArach
I get the feeling that Cobo may end up with a Pro Continental team this year. Most of the World Tour teams are finalised.

So I'm going to propose a real outside tip - He will join the new Columbian team.

Hmm, Vacansoleil got one spot left he would maybe join them... My first thought was Astana, but they've already began their first training camp, so i don't think that's such a opportunity.
If neither of them wants him, he'll of course join Christina Watches Wink

Katusha confirms that Mentschov will join them.

I think it is a good choice for Menchov

Yes, back to Russia, and Katusha needs another GC-rider (although to my opinion Menchov has started to decline...)

In other Russian news, Nikolai Trusov says he's joining RusVelo which now has 22 riders for the upcoming season.

Dan Lloyd (ex-Garmin) says that he will retire unless he gets a spot with a World Tour team.

A sad loss to cycling if he does retire because he his a good guy to have in your teamSad

Ricco says that he'll return racing in GP Costa Etruschi with Meridiana Kamen Team.

At the same time, Velonation has an article saying that the result of the Ricco investigation will be announced soon: https://www.velonation.com/News/ID/106...usion.aspx

That would be the most PCM-ish transfer in the history of cycling. Pfft

Nevertheless, it would be a great acquisition.

Looks to be serious rumour.

https://tourdejose...-and-cobo/

Leaves two options between UnitedHealthcare and Team Type 1. Also Vuelta organizer said Cobo's team would get wildcard, no matter what nationality, name etc.

I guess that the sole chance of riding the Vuelta, which would otherwise be impossible to teams such as those two, is enough for them to wet themselves, but I guess they'd need to find another sponsor anyway, I doubt the Geox crew would ride for peanuts.

How about Pistachios? Pfft (That team folded, didn't they?)

I disagree, there have been at least 2 other transfers more worthy of being called "PCM-esque transfers" Pfft

Cavendish to Sky and Menchov to Katusha? Didn't see those coming. Pfft

Nah, if Cobo was to be paid in kind he'd rather sign for UnitedHealthcare. Pfft

Good for Sky to keep him, in any other team he would be a star, expect Sky where preety much the results are basing on Wiggo/Cav. But I think the comfort of the teamates played a big part here, especially G, they look like best friends and have awesome relationship as friends. Hope he'll have a year without injuries though.
