Vuelta á España 2014

The incredible thing is that Caruso is a great sprinter. It isn't the first time that he goes in the top-10 of a stage (and not only of the Vuelta)

Looks like Aru has lost some time today. He wasn't in the front group.
Vincenzo Nibali - Rui Costa - Nairo Quintana - Alberto Contador - Peter Sagan

He had a flat tire but in the live images it seemed that he recovered all the time lost.
Edit: confirmed, he was 29th with s.t.

ProCyclingStats just updated the results and he is up there anyway. Pfft So you're right.

Stuyven could not come by Cancellara, bad sprint by him and terrible lead out by Cancellara.

That's not even worth the effort of searching for a facepalm picture URL, so just imagine this post contains one.

Terrible lead out? Stuyven couldn't have asked for a better lead out, he just wasn't strong enough to pass Spartacus.

Oh hello, Koldo Fernandez appears to have remembered how to sprint and gotten in the top 10... Pfft

His first top10 place since Vuelta 2012 IIRC.

I doubt it even was a lead out, two changes are better than one, right? Strategically I think its a smart tactic to employ when you aren't among the bests in the sprints.

Robert Gesink leaves Vuelta Shock because of personal circumstances. His pregnant wife has undergone surgery twice last week and her situation hasn't improved.

Sucks, but I think we could see he was back to his normal self finally. Will give him confidence next year and family is way more important.

And hope his wife pulls through!

Really sucks for him this clsoe to the finish. it's been a hard year health wise for him and his family, but his wife is most important.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

Poor Robert. The guy can't catch a break, can he?

Hope everything goes well.

FFS poor Gesink, he never has any kind of luck... Best decision for him, family is more important than racing. Still so so sad for him... He was doing so well!

not really surprised, read somewhere that he had personal problems connected to his wife last week or so.

hopefully his presence is able to improve her situation Frown

Over an hour is race, yet all breaks have been catched so far. The last climb is actually 7 km and 7% so it could certainly cause some havoc if the top dogs want it to, especially if the stage win is on stake.

Rofl at Froome. Most stupidest thing I have seen in this race apart from the boxing match

Why would you ever sprint like that a few kms before the last climb. Lol.
