Decent climbers like Meyer and Sutherland are here. Interestingly though, Sutherland is riding the Giro... |

Gabrovski was the most obvious doped performance since Landis 2006 to me.
This...suspicious.
Very suspicious considering the background.
Kittel speaking out publicly that way adds a new dimension to it though, for whatever reason Sayar is different to others for him, there has to be a sufficient one.

Zoidl has been really impressive so far. His name comes up about every 2 pages in this thread.
Definatly worth a shot in a bigger (Pro or World) team.

sayar is different from gabrovski though, the latter one really won with a huge difference
sayar wins with 18 seconds on world climber bagot and takes 33 seconds out of climbing legend Marc de Maar hardly world-beating material uphill... |

He's believable, sort off. I remembert reading a while ago that in the Tour of Algeria there we're 4 rider's that tested positive, but their name's weren't made available to the public. |

Easy victory for Marcel Kittel in the end, I assume Greipel got held up with the crash on the corner. |

Kittel wins in Turkey.
After countless! second places so far this season, Santambrogio wins GP Industria & Artigianato.
1 | SANTAMBROGIO Mauro | Vini Fantini | | | 2 | SINKEWITZ Patrik | Meridiana Kamen Team | | | 3 | GATTO Oscar | Vini Fantini | | | 4 | ROVNY Ivan | Ceramica Flaminia - Fondriest | | | 5 | FEDI Andrea | Ceramica Flaminia - Fondriest | | | 6 | PELLIZOTTI Franco | Androni - Venezuela | | 7 | QUINTERO NORENA Carlos Julian | Team Colombia | | | 8 | BONGIORNO Francesco Manuel | Bardiani Valvole - CSF Inox | | | 9 | RODRIGUEZ Jackson | Androni - Venezuela | 10 | DI LUCA Danilo | Vini Fantini | | | |

Not bad from Di Luca. He clearly has been training so looking forward to his Giro.
As it stands now Vini Fantini probably the strongest Italian team in the Giro.

He probably would've won.

A bit more on Sayar.
vetooo @ammattipyoraily
"I assumed that Sayar's power output would have been higher. I was wrong. It wasn't the first nor the last time.
Tour of Turkey, Stage 6, Final Climb (last 2.57 km). Mustafa Sayar [66-68 kg]. CyclingPowerLab_com: 6.25-6.29W/kg. Dr. F formula: 6.12 W/kg."
That isn't that high for a such a short climb. The numbers don't prove anything disclaimer but interesting.
Then there was the press conference see https://www.velonation.com/News/ID/144...urkey.aspx
Particularly strange answer:
"Sayar was told by a journalist during the press conference that some riders in the peloton had doubts. “What would you say to your colleagues?” he was asked.
His response was brief. “I don’t have an answer for them,” he said, before waiting for the next question."
So numbers aren't ridiculous and perhaps he's just not great at press conferences?
The Velonation article is worth a read. In a way it's good to read about the peloton being more openly doubtful but if it's just doubt with no substance it's also alarming. It's a fine line to walk between omerta and finger pointing.

How long was that final climb ?
Because, of course, if he sustained 410 to 440 W for 2 km, that's nothing impressive, more or less what it could take to win a 1.2 race that ends with a 2 km climb. Though if he sustained that pace during 15 km, that's different and more than worrying.
Plus, I have not seen the stage obviously, maybe he lost some time raising arms or taking it easy in the last few hundreds of metres ? |

Looks like it was just under 10 km, if the profile is reliable.

A very quick search for a preview suggests 5km at 10%.
Those figues will be for the bit where he attacked, so again you might think they would be higher. No proof of clean riding of course.
