Starting next year, the Volta a Portugal will continue to have the same stage as yesterday ending in Seia, but it will start having another equally hard climb before the final one.
For those who didn't watch yesterday's stage, imagine a Tour de France stage up the Tourmalet, down the other side, then finishing atop another Tourmalet.
That should be nice...
Is the Volta a Portugal considering making the leap to a PT race? I mean, of course they would want to invite all the domestic teams, but that didn't stop the Tour of California organizers.
I very much doubt it, for some reason as Post Danmark rundt don't have intesions to become PT, cause all the small Portugues (or danish) teams won't be allowed in the race.

If you were wondering who that Skil rider was, 2nd at the Waseberg behind Breschel (when he attacked).
Waseberg - KM 176,7 (Kategorie 3 / Catégorie 3)
1 47 DEN19840831 BRESCHEL, Matti SAX 3
2 184 NED19811127 ELTINK, Theo SKS 2
3 135 FRA19861112 OFFREDO, Yoann FDJ 1
this puts Breschels performance in a whole different perspective on that climb

Seriously, is your second purpose in life to diss Matti Breschel?

Don't be stupid.
It's his sole purpose.

The funny thing is, I am not at all against Breschel, neither did I ever 'diss' him before.

Yeah, but it's a lot more fun to perpetuate myths. Like the time you danced the can-can with a sheep.

eurosport says no to eneco tour in favour of the Tour of ireland at the weekend.
Cycling fans show Sporza and RTBF web streams as geo-restricted and Cyclingtv is showing it on premium.

Come on... you're behind.
According to the latest idiotic conspiracy, he's not black... he's arabic.
Even though his dad's from Kenya...
Which has English and Swahili as their official languages (not Arabic)...
And is 75% christian in their faith (10% muslim)...
But he's still an ARAB!
Oh, and apparently he's Communist, he's been part of a 50 year long conspiracy to make people think he was born in Hawaii rather then Kenya, he's actually a citizen of Indonesia, he wants to kill old people through public healthcare and he's friends with terrorists.
After re-reading that... it's no wonder people in other countryies think we are all idiots. :sigh: |

On of my favorite movie lines ever, from Thirteen Days:
Ken O'Donnell (Kevin Costner): "What is it about the free world that pisses the rest of the world off?"
Robert Kennedy (Steven Culp): "I don't know, we have tupperware parties?"
it cracks me up ever time I see it (which is probably 30 times by this point) |
