Hard to imagine TDG is going to gain 2 minutes on 30kms of TT. |

Yeah. He'd need to win as much per km on Hesjedal as he did last year at the TdF
The preceding post is ISSO 9001 certified

When Hesjedal wasn't involved in the GC fight.

But that was countryside TT, not the technical course in the streets.Anyway should be great battle and i would not underestimate Purito for podium.

Exactly. And De Gendt hadn't been on a 50km solo over the Stelvio the previous day

That's 120 seconds. Or 4 seconds per km.
Difference between first and second is often 1 or 2" per km in such TT, time difference between G.C. contender can go up to 6 or 7 seconds per km.
Nothing impossible. |

Rodriguez hasn't been that bad in time-trials lately, but that depends on how he feels tomorrow. I'm not sure how long was the Pais Vasco time-trial, but it wasn't that short.
Highly doubt De Gendt wins, he'll probrably finish third or second. |

You forgot the non-sarcasm smiley.

Just looking at the time differences shows how amazing what De Gendt did today really is. How much time did he have at the bottom of Stelvio? 3'40? Only Hesjedal, Scarponi and Rodriguez came close. |

Hmm... ok, couldn't remember. I really hope that we have excitement tomorrow, and that nothing's decided in the first quarter of kilometers. |

Tough luck for de Gendt here. I would have loved him to win the race. Well not that it matters, cause as it looks now 1-2 will go to the two riders that actually bothered to ride the race. Good thing that Scarponi, Uran and Basso gets outside the podium. A fucking disgrace from especially the italians.

it won't be easy to create huge gaps tomorrow. very tecnichal course, many bends and tricky points. a typical "brad mcgee" course rather than a pure power itt.
they will pass a few meters away from my home! |

Look at Pais Vasco TT profile.
Even the profile was deceiving, it was more hilly that it seemed to be.
