Ah.
I remember when Suarez bit someone for the first time(Bakkal).
Hapman(Pacman Suarez) got a hype back then too.
Original site not there anymore, but after googling, you can still play it here
Feyenoord(football) and Kelderman fanboy

Not many keepers in the world that would have saved that though to be fair. |

Why are all the games played at the same time now? Seems really stupid. I was able to watch all of the games before, now I can only watch half of them and if you flip back and forth like I sometimes do, you always seem to switch at the wrong time and miss the goals/action in the game you aren't watching.

Think about it It's so the teams can't play on each others results. The corruption would be too much if they weren't played at the same time |

to prevent two teams from doing nothing since they are already advanced.
for example if Belguim and Algeria played against each other after South Korea-Russia has ended in a draw. both already advanced and don't want to waste energy.

You do know that teams might still combine results right? |

I do, but it would happen alot more if the games weren't played at the same time, which is what i answered about
Also, the point Luigi brought up is a good one aswell.

Here's your explanation: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Ger...30_Austria
Fortunately the germans have learned their lesson and will crush the US americans tomorrow

Because it was a bad challenge with the studs up, nothing wrong with giving a red there. |

from what I saw I thought that there wasn't much that the player from Ecuador could do to prevent that. in my opinion I think that the France guy was just hit in a unlucky place.

Luigi - I think he got the card for the rashness of the challenge, not necessarily because he hit him badly. He leapt into the challenge with the studs up, that is a red. And i say that as a big fan of Antonio Valencia who got sent off |

was that really a challenge from Valencia?, wasn't it just that the france guy intercepted the Valencia's dribble? that's how I interpruted anyway

I thought that first, but from the replay it looked quite nasty from Valencia. |

Yes, Suarez needs to get a ban, but I don't think he should be banned for life.
Biting is not worse then head butting, kicking, elbow hitting, squeezing balls, or whatever players do. So why should he be judged differently?
There are many players on the pitch who don't respect the rules of the games and give a shit about fair play. They do it in every game, Suarez only bites randomly. So if he should be banned for life, then everybody else would deserve a lifetime ban too.
Of course it's not nice to bite a player but he did not gain any advantage for his team doing so. In my opinion, tactical fouls should be sanctioned harder then aggressive fouls. If I insult your sister, I cannot complain if you head butt me. But if you hit me just because I am faster than you, it is totally unfair and also harms my team.
Couldn't disagree more.
Lifetime ban? It's not gonna happen, especially in football. But would he deserve multiple months/years of suspension? Definitely (at least in my book).
It's not about the lack of fair play it's about making a mockery of the rules and repeating your offences time and time again, with complete disregard for the consequences.
I can understand a slap, a headbutt or even a punch from a player who has lost it. But a bite? Why in the world would you do that? The question isn't the lack of sportsmanship, it's the psychopathic behaviour. It's unthinkable to compare this to a tactical foul.
This guy belongs to the psychiatry ward, not the football fields (this isn't an hyperbole, he should be checked up)
+1000, cant agree more. If Suarez was part of less corrupted sport where FIFA does not rule, he would be banned for life already. Imagine him doing this in NBA, he would be out of the game for good.
But FIFA cares about money more than anything, and Suarez on the pitch is generating much bigger revenue than banned Suarez. Fucking hypocrites, it reminds me of UCI and their keeping of the omerta...
