Dammit. This means De Gendt's only option is Lampre...
Which would be actually quite nice. He would suit them real good.

De Gendt better decides that he shouldn't care that much about Vacansoleil/Hilaire/DLuickx and take the Vacansoleil money and sign for cheap with another team where he fits in which means he should go to a team without any real leaders genre Lampre, Cofidis, Garmin or Cannondale for the races Sagan doesn' t do.

Or Bpost
Do you know SN wants to sell him to CountArach?
This is one of my favourite things to happen on this forum My ManGame team being mistaken for a real team...

He has. He didn't even realize that Eurosport was trolling us. |

Maybe not. Acevedo joins Garmin-Sharp instead of OPQS, maybe De Gendt gets a contract after all. |

Found the article: https://www.nieuws...9_00766373
Quick summary: Acevedo broke his promise and signed a contract with Garmin which leaves another spot at OPQS. De Gendt is an option, but the OPQS management is not happy with some statements De Gendt made earlier this week. Lefevere says he's sure De Gendt can win six races a year for them, though. Another option mentioned is Igor Anton.
Apparently, Garmin have shown interest in De Gendt. Rumour has it that LTB are interested as well, but this was contradicted by Sergeant (LTB manager).
Glad De Gendt has got some options again. He can be a bit more optimistic now.
So:
Acevedo =/=> OPQS
Acevedo =-=> Garmin |

Acevedo never made any promise as far as I'm aware. Lefebre said he signed him and then he said he didn't. |

Thx a lot. Acevedo looks like a scum for me now. And De Gendt would be nice addition, mainly to strengthen "our" TTT squad for next year.

I might have missed that part about him saying Acevedo had signed, but how I remember it, Levefere said something like: "There's nothing signed yet, but we shook hands." |

Maciej Paterski to leave Cannondale at the end of the season. Destination not yet known. He'll be a good signing whoever picks him up. |

I would love to see De Gendt at Garmin. As soon as news about Vacansoleil disappearing from peleton arrived, I started to wish Garmin would sign him. He is kind of rider I like. He can climb, win from a breakaway and has some brilliant TT performances. He would be very useful and fit my vision of my favourite team if only he can stabilise his form a bit.
Garmin are going to get a decent boost for their climbing power anyway. Among those who can climb, only Vande Velde and Stetina are to leave, and Slagter, Cardoso, Brown, King, Gaimon and Acevedo are to join. Morton and Dennis should be used more after they've completed their first professional year and add De Gendt to the mix (or Anton, who Garmin are also interested in, reportedly) and they should no longer have any problems with sending a proper leader and decent support for any important race with hills or mountains. I used to be sick of seeing them being completely invisible in mountains in some important races in the past. Now it should be reverse. They've strengthened their climbing team at the expense of sprinting. They are really short of sprinting options for 2014 and any top3 finish from a sprint in a big race will be quite big surprise. Although Von Hoff has shown some promise, I doubt he is ever going to be winning important sprints consistently.
Paterski has been good and consistent all throughout the second half of current season. Would be a real shame if he can't find a decent team for next year. |

I wouldn't be surprised if it is a money issue. I mean he probably didn't ask for much but there are undoubtedly cheaper domestiques out there.
