You're born. Man and a woman made you. Your sex was decided by either God or nature, whatever you do believe in. You are a male. You have the penis. It's supposed to go into vagina and it's NOT supposed to go in men asshole. Simple as that. Got it?
Tell me now, how on earth is it normal to be gay? It's not the normal nature circle. I find (most of) gay people the people who wants some attention. You just can't walk in lycra pants, fuck men, make up and pretend to be a man. It's not going like that.
You seem to forget that your sexuality is genetically decided. It's not a choice to be homosexual. If people have been created to like someone of the same sexe, then let them live like they have been created.
Do you have some scientific evidence for this, because i tend to agree with Manx here. Just look how it was sexualy in pre-medieval times and you will see that it is a social construct...

After some research I think I have to agree with you, there's no scientific evidence. I don't think it's a choice though, more something that overcomes you, just like straigjt love.

I may have the wrong experssion, as there aren't really many gay here except for Belgrade (not any in my 35k town I think) and I didn't see many either when I travelled, so I may be wrong.
I really don't have anything against gay, but my personal opinion is that it just isn't normal to sleep with a man. I'd however like to meet one smart, intelligent, educated gay to have talk with him, just to see what's his perspective and how he sees the world and what's his general opinion on this topic.
If the gay population in your countries doesn't constantly talk about parades, aren't acting like women, aren't making (alot of) problems, aren't intruding themselves constantly, aren't talking about their rights every week on most popular TVs, then I think our gays has some serious problems.
And no Selwink, it isn't like that. It's what you choose to be, not what's genetically decided. If you're a man, it's genetically decided for you to be a man and like a women. Even if they're not created to like someone of the same sex, we let them live their lifes. But firstly, they should leave us (straight, normal people), as they're all around medias talking about their rights and crap like that. Fuck whoever you want, I don't care. Just leave me alone, please.
But those tight tight shorts do look good, don't they?
I guess it's quite hard to tell how many gays there are without polling everyone as they don't look any different from Adam or Eve.
I don't know about Serbia but I doubt that it would be difficult to find a smart, intelligent, educated gay man or woman, it certainly isn't here - maybe try an LGBT society at a university [assuming they exist].
Our gay population don't speak all the time about parades, I tend to chat with them about uni, about work, about nights out, about football or whatever [anecdotal of course but still]. Parades are good, mild-mannered fun in any case [unless militant anti-gay groups turn up to cause trouble]. I don't even know what you mean 'acting like women', surely you're not suggesting that women and men should act differently [apart from sitting down for a piss]? I don't see any problems being made by 'the gays' here. Don't see them intruding. They do argue for their rights but so should any human being, there's nothing wrong with that. Maybe Serbia just got unlucky though.
And love, you may be heterosexual [who knows?] but I highly doubt you're normal - spending so much time on an internet forum talking to people you don't know about some niche computer game, it's not normal is it? Ah, rights and crap, what a terrible thing to want.
^Imo, it's neither a choice or something that is born with you. I believe "it just happens". I believe it is possible to anyone to have an homossexual experience (I had none) and still be a normal person, it does not define who you are right away. You are free to do what you want for some reason. If tomorrow anyone of us here wakes up with the need of having such an experience, do it then! It doesn't make you an homossexual forever. Actually, nothing lasts forever in this world

I'd agree with admirschleck that it most certainly isn't genetically inherited. As I'd agree with Selwink that it is something that overcomes you, a passion. However, I do not think that it is right, and that such passions can be overcome.

No, normal shorts would look much better. I don't support the idea of shaving legs because of cycling too, but as far as it's there because of safety and to alleviate the crash pains, I am okay with it.
No, there are no gay in my town, I am sure. Believe me, I am one of the most tolerant Serbs (on gay topic) you'll ever meet - have a chance to chat with. That's why I am sure there are no gays here.
No, I am not heterosexual. I prefer women and I am born to prefer women. That's how it is. Luckily.
No, it's absolutely normal. Compared to a huge number of no-lifers that are spending most of their time in front of PC, I have great social-life. Just spending my free time in what I like (PCM) and with some great guys.

Solid reasoning there, definitely couldn't be any gays in a town of 35,000 that wouldn't have told you.
I think you need to look up the definition of heterosexual.
I think that's for society and nature to decide, not you, eh?

Why do you think it's wrong then? It's a natural minority of homosexuals. I'm left-handed, part of a small minority as well. Society is made for right-handed. Should I adapt or should I be tolerated?
One thing I completely dislike is that in New Zealand we have a 'big' event called Big Gay Out which is purely for Gays which I find is completely against straight people. We dont have Straight Parades so why should they celebrate being Gay?
On a slightly related matter do people in your countries use the word Gay to describe things that are boring or lame. "Na, that's gay" for example.

A few years back I once knew a guy from Somalia who was 100% sure, utterly convinced that there wasn't a single homosexual person in Somalia.
I'll go out on a limb and say that 98% of all gays don't dress as drag queens. The huge majority dress and act like normal people. They wear pants, shorts, suits, etc. just like you and me.
You must have one hell of a gaydar if you can instantly tell if someone is gay. Honestly, the view expressed by some people here regarding the gay community is in my book shamefull, backwards, intolerant, childish and belongs in either the 1500's or Alabama.
If you are one of the most tolerant people in Serbia, then God have mercy on the gay souls. With all due respect, of course.
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"
I didn't literally mean "the most tolerant" human in Serbia, just someone who can talk with you about this topic. It's even hard to get in conversation about this with some "average Serb".
I don't call people gay, neither it's popular here. But some gay joke can be heard from time to time.

It's used here as well.
Also, on your first thing, I frankly tend to agree with you. It's not necessary to be proud of being gay. I do think it's admirable though to come out of the closet, but no need to show off.
I am, in a way, against pride-parades. Not because I don't think homosexuals should flaunt who they are, but I think they might do more harm than good. Making a huge display out of it with guys dressed in leather and lace, deep throating eachother might create a division between people and solidify a gap of "us an them".
You need to understand that it's just a small minority who acts like that, most homosexuals are normal people.
Morgan Freeman once said that the best way to end racism is to stop talking about it, that is; stop with displays such as "Black History Month".
The problem regaring the gay community is that they can't just stop. Black people can because they have their rights. There might still be inequality and unjust situations, but no specific law bans black people from basic human rights. Gays on the other hand still are denied the right to a fair life, by law.
For me, that is the core aspect.
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"
Ok, talking about dressing and stuff.
I have two gay friends one of which just changed schools. Neither are the best of my friends but we are still friends. One is just like the rest of my friends but he kinda came out saying he likes this other guy but gradually, the guy he liked was quite straight though. It was difficult for that friend. He dresses normally and talks normally and used to say the literally gayest comebacks. The other friend is definitely gay but didnt like anyone too seriously at my school. He left the school, not too sure why. Like the other guy everyone knows he is gay because he doesnt mind talking about it. He has admitted he partially likes a few people but not to those people. He dresses kinda normally but talks a bit different and used to die his hair slightly. No one really bullies either of them at all anymore and the only thing people would do is say stuff but it wasnt that bad.
So I really dont mind either of them. But if I was told by one of them that they like me I think it would be a slightly different story but they havent so I have not bothered about it before. People have rights. They want to marry let them.
Best thing of last year was that the one was in our class and I go to a Catholic school and our religious education teacher was the most anti gay person in the entire world. We managed to waste whole lessons having conversations that achieved absolutely nothing

What do you consider to be the right to fair life. In New Zealand they can marry and I am guessing bang as well, quite sure it s at least partially legal. We have a bloody oarade as well. Not sure they can ask for much more.
I don't understand gay pride parades at all. Isn't the whole point that we're all equal and nobody's that different? Then why are you having a parade about it? Same goes for all other things like race and stuff. If the point is that it shouldn't matter, why are you making it matter so much?

I believe that it is wrong, that it is a sin which God condemns as deplorable in the Bible.
Lot of misunderstanding of what a Gay Pride Parade is. It is not a rally to protest about laws or to show how they are normal. It is a celebration of gay culture and lifestyle (not sex). There is no difference between a gay pride parade and say the Notting Hill Carnival we have in London.

You wish. Reality is something else.
Btw. abou that gay is a sin thing. I still like screaming gays more than religious blind people. Because of something is written in 2000 yeaars old book, you believe it?
And cactus, how is it that gays are not allowed to live full life according to law? They have the same laws as we have in majority of civilized countries. Or you think because they are not allowed to be married somewhere? Well, their bad, as marriage is thing between man and woman, so they should go to surgery if they want it.
