GreenEdge being WT is perfect for Sky and Cavendish - theyre a team who will almost always help in targeting a sprint finish.

I want to see Robbie McEwen Go out on a high note this year, maybe this team will set up something special for him at the tour down under and/or the TDF
McEwen plans to retire before the TDF, and I expect GreenEdge will want to win the TDU, which kinda rules out focusing on McEwen.
Maybe they could fix the crit before the TDU for McEwen?
well they would focus on Allan Davis then for the overall win but i think his form worry's some people. |

Wow that GreenEDGE team is really boring.. I can already say i dont like them.
EDIT: And also i think its a pretty weak team. Not worth a ProTeam license imo, but UCI doesnt agree i think
Next year will be a benchmark to see what the team's goals are and where they are at.
Hopefully, at the end of next year they sign some more climber-type riders, Weening just seems like the odd one out in the team.

If i remember right, there is stage finishing on top of Willunga hill in 2012, so not the best conditions for Davis, even in the better form i think.
I also dont like the team so much. As many said, except Albasini and Weening only sprinters and time-trialers, even not the A-grade ones (only Goss maybe), so boring all the way.

Thank you GreenEdge for making the sprints easier for Cavendish next year the team might not even need to do any work before the sprints now ! |

Unfortunately, I agree with you. I was looking forward to this team. Turns out the only strong rider there is Goss, but at least he gets to ride for himself in the major races.

On the other hand riders like Gerrans, Weening and Albasini can totally ride on their own probably. Will be interesting to see how they perform this season without doing much work for their big leaders. |

Maybe it's old news but Friere to Katusha
What do you guys think of the way he has been treated by Rabobank after all he has done for them over the years |

The way I see it, Freire and the club both messed up. Freire did say he was going to retire and he can't think that the club holds a place for him just-in-case. Most likely they had already used up their sallary fund.

This happens, if you just have a very bit time between two university subjects and read some cycling news.
Then at least the information that Europcar is complete was a bit of a news.

Obviously Rohregger signed a 2-year-contract with RadioShack - Nissan - Trek.
I haven`t seen an official announcement from the team side yet but according to Rohregger he will ride the Giro next season. |
