Actually Carlos Alberte was spoken free yesterday I think.
I don`t know the exact reason as some stuff was definitely found in his blood, which normally is used to hide the usage of other doping.
But I guess it`s just football and there you won`t get banned that easily...
And to the other topic: I really hate Hoffenheim. And no matter how bad Foda is. It can`t be worse than Hoffenheim playing in the Bundesliga. Dortmund really messed this up by losing against them to keep their chance in the relegation games...
Their quality was incredibly high last season and while they didn`t very important players except for Gomez, who was backup only, they got lots of quality in with Götze and Thiago.
Dortmund did improve as well I guess so I don`t expect a 25 point differential again. But less than 10 would actually surprise me quite a lot.
I just hope that teams like Schalke, Leverkusen or some surprising team can make the CL fight as exciting as possible.
Personally I just hope that Werder Bremen is having a better season as they do a new start with a new trainer after 14 years and a young but very talented team. There are quite a few young guns that might have their breakthrough year: Füllkrug, Yildirim, Aycicek, Trybull, Kroos etc.
If players like Ekici, Elia or Arnatutovic start to play with more consistency it can`t be as bad as last season.
Yeah, the same goes for my Team, 1860 Munich. We've got a load of young talents, but nobody, not even the older Players, Plays consistently on a good level. We had some great talents like the two Benders, Leitner, Volland, Mlapa, and so on, but the bigger Clubs always buy them away. If we could keep this squad together for 2-3 years we could reach the bundesliga, we're still one of the better 2. League Teams.
Dortmund won the Supercup against Bayern Munich with 4-2
Don't know what to think about that game..
Guardiolas team looked better in those friendly games (obviously) than here, a blunder from Starke, own goal from Van Buyten and 2 Robben goals

Aubameyang looked very promising in the few minutes he played. The assist for Reus was a very good move, I think many other players would have tried to score in that kind of situation. And it seems like he would fit very well in Dortmund's quick counter style.

IF he gets to play as often as Schieber did last year and more... If Dortmund are banking too much on Lewandowski, then Aubameyang will not be worth the money... Oh and obviously, I mean that he gets to play as striker and not as winger as he did today... Afterall, Dortmund was looking for someone to replace Mister "I only want to go to Bayern" and not someone to replace Blaszykowski [whos name I may have misspelled])
Well first of all, Aubameyang has a lot more quality. Schieber just isn't Dortmund material and he never will be. Aubameyang is in a whole other league (in my opinion).
Then, as you said, he's very flexible and I don't think he's seen as a replacement for one fix position. He'll probably be more of an allround offensive player, partly as a striker, partly as a winger. I'm sure he'll get his time on the field.

Well, yeah, Schiemer is not the player they needed... But I was talking about the amount of chances Schieber got, while, admittedly, being the wrong man for the job! If Aubameyang gets the same chances, He should be a big dog in the cage...
And as for his versatility: Yeah, its great that he is so versatile, but he is primarily a striker, and thats what he was hired for! And his versatillity is the perfect basis for the system Dortmunfd plays, as it means that he will go and get the ball from midfield as well as being present in the box... Just as Lewandowski! Id say, Lewa is juast as versatile as Aubameyang, just that he is a proven world class striker (who has to review his attitude) and that obviously he was Germanys top striker & that Dortmund still thinks that hell be their Life Insurance this year and that Aubameyang is basically spending a year as his apprentice, which I dont think is right. Aubameyang has his class and he may very well be a bigger Talent than Lewa!
What Dortmund has to do, is to give Mkhitaryan (If I spelled his name right Ill be mightily impressed by myself!) and Aubameyang a LOT OF Playing Time together, so that they are in sync from the get go right away... So, Maybe pull Lewa every game or put him on the wing and bring Aubameyang for Kuba... Thats the only way Dortmund will make a transition from from Lewa to Aubameyang without anyone ever noticing a difference...
A lot of love for Dortmund in the UK, especially on twitter, love watching the Bundesliga wonder how many games Pep & Bayern can go unbeaten in the league...
Ok, It might not be the top tier League in germany, but its called Bundesliga nontheless, and so it goes in here:
My Hometown Team (Kaisersautern) FINALLY fired their coach Franco Foda... At Least Half a year too late! Under him, we had no clear system, our top young guns didnt develop themselves further nad to top it off, we barely won away games in the second half of last season, with crowning moments such as a 4-1 loss to cottbus, a 1-1 draw against Aue (although we wre leading 1:0 and at the time of the equalizer Aue had already 2 men sent off), and a 1-1 draw against a village (sandhausen) club whose best players were on loan from our B-Team! And this season, we already lost 4-0 against a team similar to Sandhausen (3 of the 4 goals conceaded were scored in the second half alone)
By the way, our ambition is to get promoted and and we loose to teams with 3 or more goals whose main aim is to reach the relegationspot between the 2. Bundesliga and the 3rd League (thats 16th Place)...
Needless to say, I am delighted that he is gone. He also only got the job because he is a former player at the club!!!

Time to blow the dust off this thread and put it on top.
The bundesliga has another phantom goal at the friday game Hoffenheim against Leverkusen.
After a corner Kießling headed the ball to the sidenetting and the ball went in.
Enough for the referee to allow the goal, I mean it was in
The bundesliga had a phantom goal scored by Thomas Helmer 1994 well there isn't a good video of that one where he was 1m infront of the goal and the ball got between his legs and went left out of the goal and was also allowed as a goal.
That match was replayed with a heavy defeat for Nürnberg.
The 2nd bundesliga had also some weird phantom goals which weren't ones like hitting the bar and the ball bounces 5m infront of the goal off the ground and the ref gave the goal.
The bundesliga annoys me as they delayed the goal technology because "it was unreliable". Well with those old men there who have no idea of football or sports in general... Even the Premier League has it now... I mean Rugby can even decide not just if a goal was in or not but for more like tackles etc.
But football can't because of that bananas argument "taking out the misjudgement at a game would take out so much from football".
Yes, because it is more worth to talk off the ref and not talking about a great or bad game of 2 teams eh?

Question is what the technology would have said here.
I mean the ball was in the net in the end, so the goal technology could have been fooled in this example.
Most likely the game will be replayed. Thsi wasn`t the only misjudgement of the refs this evening. A clear goal for Hoffenheim wasn`t given in the first half. So Leverkusen won very luckily as they weren`t the better team for sure.
They did. But they do it not as much as it would take to identify all those small issues.
In 999/1000 cases the net is fine, so you tend to check it less carefully I guess. Plus checking every millimeter would probably take too much time.
Plus it might have been fine before the game or at half time. Some goalies put their shirt through the net and eventually it might be cut there as well.
