Very interesting stage to follow! My oh my imagine a world where Galta holds on to this top 2. I do imagine that the top contenders will take that spot away shortly.
There's just no way PHL gives up this win but the battle for the podium is going to be super interesting to follow, because it seems like Madrazo has started to find his legs now and right now Sivakov looks to be the stronger of the two u25 contenders but on paper Bernal should be stronger, the TT coming shortly is going to give some very welcome insight into the GC.
Thanks for the great reports Ulrich, looking forward to following the conclusion of this Giro.
Hoping that one day we will be in these, just hasn't been feasible during any of our stints in the PCT!

It will be super hard to defend our GC placing, but the Galta and the team seems capable so far. It was a joy to watch them racing. Thank you for the very entertaining reports! |

Another lovely escapade from Almeida. Slowly creeping up on the GC table. Very pleased with these performances. Great win by Meintjes! Congrats jph. I'm loving these mountain stages. So much going on behind the top GC spot. Great coverage, Ulrich!

What a brilliant Giro for Galta so far. Very, very nice to see!
For us, the start of the final part of the Giro has been brutal. Great that we got Amezawa and Van Poucke in the break on stage 15, but none of them being close to challenge for the big KoM points noe the stage, is discouraging. Hopefully «resting» on stage 16 give them the needed energy for more breakaway participation in the final days! |

Such a weird race for me. Ive said before that winning the race has priority over a high scoring race so im kinda fine with the way we treat it cautiously and save energy a lot of times, only unleashing the beast when its too late for the stage win. On the hand, seeing the countless repeats of break wins starts to get slightly frustrating when the GC looks fairly secure on our back.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Two good stages for Madrazo, very happy that he's gone on the offensive and that it has paid off, too. Would have loved to take that stage win, but happy that Meintjes got it as well. The podium is indeed back in play and the TT should help a bit. Very excited to see how the rest of the race develops!

Always love seeing a fantastically executed sprint train, this time by Puma for Demare. Congrats to them as they should take home the Ciclamino assuming they can make it over the final mountain stages. Awesome to see the real life winner also take the man game jersey in the same season.
if I jinx it, I'm so sorry! |

We have a good run of top 10 places now. Cool to see. Very solid ride by Trondsen. Found himself a good wheel and did a good sprint, just didn't open up quite as much as the last time. Nice to see Stokbro in break also.
Congrats on the win, cio. Indeed a very well performed lead out.

Nice win for Demare. Also it’s crazy to see how Dion Smith is so accustomed to GTs, he features so prominently in breaks in every GT he’s in. His consistency is crazy.

Congrats on another victory cio. Great to see Van Der Sande on the top5 of the day too!
Let'see how the TT goes. Hopefully Almeida can keep himself collected.

That's how you do leadouts! Thank you for the kind words.
Our homegrown future lead sprinter Steimle with a spotless performance to secure Arnaud Demare's fourth consecutive Grand Tour points jersey victory as well as Puma's fourth consecutive maglia ciclamino at the Giro!

This time trial sets up a wonderful final few stages. While 1st is likely too far gone for anyone to even try making up time, a 2nd - 8th gap of exactly 2minutes should give us some great racing. Everyone in that range has to worry about not losing their spot to those behind while also attempting to grab a few seconds wherever they can. Hopefully this opens up the race to some aggressive racing and doesn't lead to a GC stalemate. Glad there's still some intriguing racing to go even if the maglia rosa is locked in. |

Just noticed Pidcock and Vansevenant right next to each other in GC. Will be a fun thing to follow for the next few days to see who comes out on top there

Pretty good rides by Bazhkou and Nordgaard. Almost another top 10, but not to be this time. Hopefully our climbers managed to the rest their legs a bit during the last two days, so that we are ready to go for the final two mountain stages.

Excited for the final mountain stages. Fear it will be all about damage limitation to keep Amezawa and Van Poucke in the KoM top 10, but fingers crossed one of them can spring a surprise! |

it's good to see Smith continues to tighten his grip on the KoM jersey and also was nice to see him work together with Roglic. However given the big lead in the classification I think it wouldve been strategically better to not sacrifice Roglic' GC aspirations. At the moment he's not where I had hoped to see him at the end of the Giro. Good to see Mano with the second podium in the second TT here. Also Bevin again in the top 10. This gives us some cushion in the team classification heading into the final two mountain stages. However the last mountain stage indicated that it can become very tight between us and Gazelle.
My hopes for the last stages is that we can keep three riders in the top 30, ideally with Roglic improving his position a bit and stay ahead of Gazelle in the teams classification. Looking forward to the reports! |

Another win for PHL, after the Tour last year he's rediscovered the joy of just dominating most stages I guess Enjoy seeing it though
Great ride from Pidcock to be 50th, way above what he's been doing in the mountains, and jumping into the Top 100 on GC is cool

Lovely
Lecuisinier constantly delivering here. Looks like he is the strongest on evry single stage leaving no doubt that the gc lead is deserved. Im very happy that the favourites finally were able to conpete for another summit finish after the breaks went wild earlier.
Thanks for another fantastic report. Great job!
