It's gonna come out very soon guys don't worry, but it's not like we ever cared to give updates on the progress so you shouldn't use how quiet we are as a metric.

I was going to mention you might benefit from posting a roadmap every now and then, "we've done this, we're going to do that, and this thing has been troublesome", but sounds like you dislike that about as much as setting deadlines |

The thing is that a roadmap creates expectations. Once we say, this and this should be done, people will start thinking ''oh it'll be done soon then'' when in fact loads of unexpected sh*t can still happen meaning release is delayed.

True, though it depends on the form. Emphasis on the present and future difficulties should curtail excessive hype trains. Granted, that also depends on the reader's propensity to such things, but I personally think a bit of community engagement is worth that risk. Only my opinion, though - and being new here, I can only wonder how such things worked in the past. |

Oh no, whar you say is logic. It just never really works/has worked when there's a small but vocal minority that every once in a while will give us shit for not releasing stuff quicker and/or not working harder
Typically this kind of people is prevalent when something is given to them for free, and there's been instances of this on both this forum and every other modding forum in the past

You made a big mistake. I'll be asking about it every 5 minutes until it's released.

G. P. Kanton Aargau in the DB is 1.1, it must be 1.HC |

The sta_race table is the exact same one in the official release realname db, we didn't touch it. We know about it.

The roadmap is not such a bad idea though. I know, you may think it creates expectations but that still the users' fault though, not yours.
I've seen the same thing happen with a game in Early Axcess (7 days to die). Devs give the features or what might change in the next alpha. Which is cool. And maybe important for you guys: in the end it just says: estimated release date: when it's done!
You'd still in no way put any pressure on anyone and users who are interested in the DB know if they should/want to wait for the DB to come out because they know what it will contain... + if you for example put in the latest phase 'Testing for bugs' (and those who know PCM and testing for bugs might take a while) users know when once you are there it's coming soon (weeks, not months).
Of course I'm comparing a game vs a mod of a game but still, both take a lot of work.
Anyways, we know it got released on September 7th last year, so we just know it's only 2 more days. No stress here...

So this happened in 2024:
A large number of CT and PCT teams lost their sponsor, and default to Androni kit on the road. Thankfully no WT teams were affected yet. Guessing this is related to the Trek bug a user reported earlier, and the game just run out of sponsors? |

Yep, I'm assuming it's the same bug. With almost 900 sponsors in the EP I can guarantee that it's not gonna happen there

Since 2017 the Dwars door West-Vlaanderen Museeuw Classic (previously Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen) is a one-day race instead of 3-day race. I noticed it's still a 3-day race in the lite pack. |

In the lite pack we didn't touch the races at all. In the main pack this will be fixed

Ok, just in case:
Etoile de Bessèges has 5 stages, not 6.
Vuelta a Andalucia - Ruta Del Sol has 5 stages, not 6.
Route du Sud - la Dépêche du Midi has 4 stages, not 5. |

Yes Tour of Guangxi will obviously be there. The race calendar will be the same as in the 2017DB for PCM16 with only some minor changes. All race categories are normally up to date as they were in the previous DB as well.

I know you guys hate that we are asking questions because you have no clue when it wil be released. But for 2 weeks @matt17br says 'it's coming very soon!'. Can you like tell us... like, 'it will be released within the month, 1 week, 3 weeks, 3 weeks, ... |

The release date got delayed a couple of times because a few members of the db team, me included, got busy around the start of September. We hope to see the db out asap.

Thanks for ur work, many of us we benefit of it.
I suppose so with the new pack we have to start new games, isn't it?
I really appreciate it.
