I think you're referring to the original editor? I don't seem to have that issue. Did you actually launch the game and create a profile already?
One thing you could always do is use one of the editors here in the PCM16 Download section (I recommend fast editor). Not only do they not give these problems, they are also much better in terms of what you can edit.

Yes the original editor, which is placed in the steamapp folder.
Eventhough i launch the game, the same message keep coming up when i try to start the editor. And i cant seem to find the problem. |

It's in the Tools section, under the library tab. You'll have to download it from there, but that shouldn't take too long. You may also want to download the DEM files from here, so that you can use gpx files in more places (map of new map coverage in the link)

Yes they are, they only create the terrain of the map based on gpx files, and afaik nothing changed in that regard (and otherwise I wouldn't have linked  )
And yes I think the registration is necessary
