Payet is a beast.
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Really rooting for Romania, but Payet totally pulled it out the bag.

Well. It's a shame we lost the game in the end there.
But if before the tournament I thought we were lucky if we'd get anything other than 0 points, now I think we might have a shot to go to the knockout stage.

Payet really saved France's performance tonight, not only with his goal, but also with his many smart passes and effort to create chances. |

Glad Kanté went pretty unnoticed tonight due to Payet's performance and goal. I fear if he begins to get singled out for praise in the wider media then he will be more likely to leave for a bigger team.
Good win for France to give them a confidence boost after 2 years without competitive football. Think they'll start to play much better now with less nerves. |

Technically the pronounciation of Payet as Payett was right, because he was born in Martinique and it looks like they have their own rules there. |

This Suisse-Albania must be the weirdest game ever.
Half of the Albanian team played for the Suisse U21 team and half of both teams will be playing together for Kosovo in couple of months.

Though, Some of the known Swiss players (like Xhaka) already said that they will keep on playing for Switzerland. |

It's a strange one with Kosovo as if they get all the player who were born their then they will have a team capable of qualifiying for a major tournament.

More violence in Marseille, reading on Twitter that Marseille Ultras and organised Russian gangs are hunting English fans and attacking them.

My friend got a broken nose when we were attacked after leaving a bar. Apparently my friend talked to a girl while waiting in the toilet line. Some crazy racists live in that town. |

Yeah I have heard numerous things happening in Marseille over the years. Personally it is somewhere I will never go, a lot of robberies and murders happen there too.

English fans fleeing from Russians at full time, no police and no segregation. Russia host the World Cup so we need to get used to it I suppose.

No, because the French police were at fault for no segregation, not Russia.

So we should have to segregate football fans in a 21st century society now, no we shouldn't French police are not well equipped, if they can't deal with hooligans then god help them if a terrorist attack is carried out.

Luckily, terrorists don't come in such huge numbers as hooligans.
On the other hand, I don't know which is worse. terrorist who use violence to achieve a ideological aim or hooligans who use violence as entertainment.
