He's not a serious threat to win this race

Strydz im just saying contadors 4th-5th place is bad for a Contador, but in perspectice its an achievement better than most people acknowlegdes. Dont think the other top 5 guys could pull the same of. But lets see over the next year

His crash on the descent in the Tour was hard most people (incl riders) acknowlegded it was very hard crash

I didnt say his crash at the Tour wasn't bad, I said his Giro crash wasn't as bad as he made it out to be. I was also saying we don't know how bad Froome's crash today was and won't until the end of the stage. Who knows he might be tired or he might have cracked something

Do you know what it is to have a dislocated shoulder and how much it hurts. The crash there was very bad I can tell from personal experience. The only reason he won was the weak field, but that crash made the race so interesting as it gave Astana a chance. He's used crashes to keep pressure off himself before, but I can assure you that wasn't the case then. Otherwise, I wouldn't be surprised if he had won the Giro with a 10 min lead over the Astana duo.

Yes I do have experience cycling with a dislocated shoulder, I also know there are bad and good dislocations. I also know that Contador has a history of lying about how bad his injuries are

Yes, but the worst thing they could do is underestimating him as a bad climber.

Oliveira is amazing. Give this man a contract!

Okay time to stop this pointless argument before it escalates. You have your opinion and I have mine. It's true that if you lie many times, people stop believing you at all. The only thing that matters for Conta is next season and nothing else.

I agree with you but I just don't think he can keep this up in the other mountain stages, also the deeper he goes trying to hang on in the high mountains the more it will drain his energy for the TT

Let's wait until the final of this stage before making conclusions. If he loses more than a minute, I wouldn't be surprised if he withdrew. But if he looses 20 seconds...(though I doubt it) Wink
