And just like always, when there is hope, Garmin screws it up.

Maybe it's time our Belgians here have a talk with Porte

That stage was great to watch, constant attacking from the break in the last 20k |

Crash by Contador today, 3 kms out. Third crash within a couple of weeks. Jeez. He got a serious case of SKYfall-syndrome lately.

So, despite being mocked of being one hell of a boring race, a bad route etc., I would say this actually has been a really good race. The reason why was simply the break on stage 1 which made the favourites go at each other whenever possible and make the race hard instead of just waiting and waiting.
Really props to the riders. Allthough I have only seen 3 stages (3,4 and 5), it has been better than the borefest at Tirreno minus the mountain stage. Wouldnt surprise me if something crazy happen tomorrow. |

Valverde would win the GC if not for the crash. |

Yay, 3 stage victories and 2 overall now. Rojas with another terrific leadout once again, what a nice guy. |

After Catalunya, Porte now sits at 303 (!!) points on the WT before his big goal, the Giro d Italia. Thats legit insane.
Edit: Pozzovivo is second at 136 points after some very solid racing in Down Under, T-A and Catalunya.
