The start list was a joke. Anyone in the Tour boycotted to be ready for it, and there isn't a tt rider in sight amongst the CT scene...

Dumoulin, Martin and Cancellara are more favored. It wouldnt be a huge surprise, but he definetely isnt favorite, looking forward to see the odds for stage 1

LOL @ Dowsett. Freaking always the first to be distanced on even the easiest climbs, heck even speedbumps, and also abandons a good percentage of his races, so good for him he can gain some confidence and humiliate some names I didnt even know existed in the sport of cycling.
That guy always seemed misplaced on Moivstar to me, but on a flat ITT course, he is an engine. |

Not sure, but him abandoning a lot could be due to him being a Hemophiliac, and not wanting take silly risks where there's nothing to gain in the race. He's not the best climber though
Always surprised me that he rides for Movistar, who are Spanish in a time where there are loads of English speaking teams. Was a gutsy career call, that could have backfired a lot.

I didnt know that, this year with the English TT and the hour record, he has pretty much done what he needed to do in terms of publicity but yeah, I dont get it either. Apart from his TT in a ITT, he cant really provide anything on a GC-focused team such as Movistar, because yes, he cant climb at all. |

When a hill climb specialist finishes 7th you know there's nobody.
