Wow, thanks to all for the great support Really delighted!
Tour Méditerranéen
The first stage in France is maybe the only chance for the sprinters to get their stage win. The beginning is quite nice for riders, trying to get into a break. Already a mountain sprint for the first category and another one for the second. Let´s see who´s going to wear that jersey tomorrow.
We were one of those lucky teams today with one rider in the break. Pauwels went there for us, to sprint for the KoM jersey. He was supported by Arashiro and Zordan. Pauwels got the first mountain sprint with ease but he lost the connection at the second to Arashiro. In the end both had 22 points with Arashiro taking the jersey.
After the breakaway was brought back in the end, some nice sprint preperation took part at the front. Omega Pharma is really on fire with building sprint trains these days. Stybar and Maes took the lead with Petacchi following. Next to us Giant and FDJ were preparing a nice sprint for Mezgec and Bouhanni, too.
Just 1000 metres to go, when Petacchi started his final sprint. Unfortunately he was bit behind when he left Maes´wheel. Giant was in front with Mezgec and Sinkeldam.
Petacchi was getting closer to Sinkeldam, who sprinted for Giant today. On the right side it was Gallopin, coming really fast with Hivert next to him.
Look at that finish! It looks like a team time trial in heavy wind conditions. Gallopin takes the win in front of Hivert and Sinkeldam. Petacchi did a great job, sprinting on a nice 4th place. Well done, he was pretty fast in the end. Good start for our team here in France.

@sutty68 That´s great to see actually
@baia Indeed, that was a bit disappointing by FDJ.
@YvesStevens Well, maybe you got me wrong a bit there It was more like, he took the sprinting role in this stage instead of Mezgec. |

Tour of Qatar Stage 5
Fifth stage in Qatar with another chance for the sprinters in the pack. It might be another fight between Omega Pharma and Giant!
First of all, a group of 8 riders got away from the pack, including Hoogerland, Leukemans and Frank. Their biggest advantage was about 4 minutes.
This group was really fast and the pack had some troubles with bringing them back. Finally with only 5 kilometres left to the finish line, our sprint train with Vermote, Terpstra, Trentin, Boonen and Cavendish passed them on the right side.
Terpstra was still in front, keeping our pace incredible high. No one in the pack could follow us so far. Is this another stage win for us?
Well a few metres later, Michael Matthews was the first one, coming pretty fast from behind. He took the wheel of Trentin, who was pulling the sprint for us. Boonen was on Matthews´wheel with Cavendish in his slipstream. Also the Giant guys Kittel and Degenkolb were sprinting quickly from behind.
Trentin did an amazing job today. Kittel passed him on the left side but Cavendish was already on his way on the right, sprinting as fast as he can. Even Tom Boonen in the second row had a lot of energy left. We had this little advantage of our great preperation, which means Boonen and Cav saved much energy. Kittel had to pull a long sprint today.
That´s it! Our first double of 2014 as Cavendish takes the next stage but this time in front of his own team mate Tom Boonen, who managed to beat Kittel on the line. Behind them something strange happened, as no one was really sprinting except our team. That brought us 5 man in today´s Top 10 with Cav, Tom, Trentin, Keisse and even Golas.

Thanks for all your comments guys
Tour Méditerranéen Stage 2
Stage two in France is a nice chance for our leader Tony Martin since this is a time trial over 24 kilometres. Most of this distance is pretty flat but the last kilometres are quite hilly, shouldn´t be a big problem for Tony.
Stannard was the first one, setting a great time. (36´14)
But his time got beaten by Coppel. (36´12)
Wow what a great time by Herrada, 16 seconds faster than Coppel! (35´56)
His team mate Dowsett was even 37 seconds faster. Incredible time! (35´19)
Gretsch, the German, did a great job, but there was no chance to beat Dowsett. (35´47)
Next one was Oliveira with another great time. But still not fast enough to beat the leading time. (35´49)
And again another good time was set, this time by the Spaniard Zubeldia. (35´44)
Finally someone was really attacking Dowsett´s time. It was Tour Champion Chris Froome. But after a great fight he was still 7 seconds behind Dowsett. (35´26)
Only 5 seconds slower than Froome. Peraud showed a great performance on this second stage! (35´31)
Another hope for Trek is on the road. Jungels had a good race but nothing special since he was missing Dowsett´s time by 33 seconds. (35´52)
Another time trial specialist with Castroviejo was trying to beat the clock. And he did it in an impressive way. The Spaniard undercut the time of his team mate by 8 seconds! (35´11)
Cataldo was the next one with a chance to put himself in a nice overall position today. All in all a nice race but no chance to beat the clock. (35´50)
Let´s get into the final! Fabian Cancellara on his last climbing metres. What a great race by him and of course he was setting a new best time on top of the climb, beating Castroviejo´s time by 10 seconds! (35´01)
It´s time for Tony Martin to show his strength. Will he be able to take another stage win in a time trial? Martin had some troubles on the last uphill section but he finished this stage 14 seconds faster than his Swiss rival Cancellara! (34´47)
The overall leader Gallopin was the last one, having a small chance to beat Martin. He did a great job, finishing in the Top 10 but he lost 50 seconds to Martin, who takes the yellow jersey! (35´37)
