@mvh: The next stage after the flat stage 4 is a summit finish, and I expect the GC to be blown apart. All to play for that 3rd place on the podium. Frank and Froome looking too strong to be put under pressure really. The Cat.1 and Cat.HC were not as severe as expected on the last stage, and it was hard to remove some of the weaker climbers.
Ewan will hopefully come into his own the more the race goes on
Vuelta a la Region de Murcia
Murcia-Alto Castillo de Lorca -- 167.9km
Race Tactics
We come to Murcia with several plans of attack to show that we can mix it with the big names of the peleton.
We want to get in the day's break, and show the team's colours at the front. Trent, Nathan or even one of our debutants will be the ideal person for this.
Second part of the plan will all depend on how Adam and Davide are feeling on the day. I want to try a two pronged attack, where one will attack to force the favourites to counter, and when brought back, go with the other. If all well and good, we should hopefully do enough to come away with a creditable finish from a gutsy ride.

Race Report
The day's break was finally formed after 20km of attacks from riders in the peleton. Alex Dowsett (MOV) and Ben Swift (SKY) were the men who managed to break the elastic of the peleton.
Several attempts from Trent and Nathan left them in pieces, so orders were given for Richardson to try and bridge the gap to the pair out front.
Time Gap -- 40km Peleton > 1'07 > Richardson > 0'26 > Leaders
After a long chase, Simon finally bridged the gap, and the British trio worked well to open up a large 5 minute gap.
As the time gap reached 6 minutes, Peter Serry (OPQ) attacks out the peleton in pursuit.
Time Gap -- 65km Peleton > 4'01 > Serry > 2'06 > Leaders
Saxo-Tinkoff, Katusha and Garmin controlled the pace making of the peleton. Davide and Adam sat near the front to avoid danger.
Serry reached the British trio as they climbed the Alto de Espana. Behind the peleton was closing the gap.
Time Gap -- 105km Peleton > 3'52 > Leaders
Over the top and on the descent, the favourites showed their hands. Martin (GRS), van Garderen (BMC), Kreuziger (TST) and Davide formed a small group, with Adam further back with another larger group.
Simon Spilak (KAT) was the man to catch though, as he flew down the mountain, and straight past the breakaway group to lead on the road.
30km to go, and the peleton was all but back together. Spilak, Martin, van Garderen, Kreuziger and Marczynski (VCD) were all off the front trying to solo to the win.
Spilak was the last to be brought back, and then it was time for us to see what the others had left. Davide attacked first as we hit the 10km to go banner.
Time Gap -- 155km Peleton > 0'22 > Villella
Davide was brought back with 5km to go, and as we entered a tunnel, Adam jumped out the saddle. On the other side, he had a lead of 22" with less than 1km to go!
Yates looks behind and he is well clear of Lopez, Cataldo (both SKY) and Navarro (COF). He can hardly believe it.! His first professional win!

Stage Debrief
Right now, I couldn't be happier! What a fantastic win from Adam. His first professional win, and he has not stopped smiling since he got off the podium. He said he wanted to be the main rider today, and he showed me why!
News of the win has already travelled to Malaysia and it has really given the team a boost to push on. Confidence is suddenly through the roof.
@mvh: Honestly I did not expect it to work out. Yates struggled on the big climb, but +5 daily form was probably a big help
@conardo: glad you are enjoying it the settings I play are as follows:
Image Filtering: Light and Saturated
Customisation of colors: De-Saturated
All other settings on 2 expect Quality of Terrain, Level of Road Detail and Isolated Building and Anisotropy (all 1) and anti-aliasing (0). Shadow version 3.0 and all boxes are ticked expect deactivate replay
@sutty: it is only a one day race, but Yates will ride the next 3 Italian hilly classics as well
After the climbing yesterday, we turn our attention back to Caleb for today's stage.
With no KoM sprints on the stage, there is no threat to Remy's lead in the classification, but it also means that the only thing on offer to the breakaway would be a handful of bonus seconds and a stage win.

Race Report
Yet again, it was a group of three riders who got away at the start of the stage, with van Winden (BEL), Kaisen (LTB) and Sydlik (TSP) attacking as the flag dropped.
Saxo-Tinkoff and BMC took control of the peleton's pacemaking, and saw the break not as a great danger as the gap grew rapidly.
Time Gap -- 20km Peleton > 5'29 > Leaders
Sprint Point 1
1. D. van Winden // 2. O. Kaisen // 3. B. Sydlik
The break continued to work well off the front, extending their lead with every pedal stroke.
Time Gap -- 55km Peleton > 7'22 > Leaders
Approaching the half way mark, a sudden rush of panic fell over the peleton, as the sprinter's team suddenly realised that they gap might have grown too large. Bardiani, Saxo and Orica hit the front hard.
Time Gap -- 90km Peleton > 4'56 > Leaders
Sprint Point 2
1. O. Kaisen // 2. D. van Winden // 3. B. Sydlik
The increased pace was a little too much for some, as splits began to appear in the peleton.
Time Gap -- 140km Peleton > 1'31 > Leaders
Sprint Point 3
1. D. van Winden // 2. B. Sydlik // 3. O. Kaisen
5km to go, and the break was still a minute in front. At one point they looked like they would be caught, but somehow, they were defying the odds.
As the sprint began, it was less than 30 seconds to the break. It was going to be close finish to the stage.
There is no stopping Kruopis! The Lithuanian rider takes his second victory, as the breakaway is caught in the last 500metres. Poor day for Rapha-Bianchi, as the high winds took its toll on the team. Caleb just came away with a Top 10 finish.

Stage Debrief
Wow, that was a hard day in the saddle for the team. Strong winds, fast peleton and a break that just wouldn't give up really took it out of them. Towards the end, attention turned from a lead out for Caleb to making sure Remy did not get caught the wrong side of a split. It was a potential day to loss time and we stopped that. In a way, I would see that as a success for this young team.
Summit finish tomorrow, so that should decide the GC for the race. Remy is looking positive about it, and is really up for a podium finish.
Le Tour de Langkawi
Shah Alam-Genting Highlands -- 124.3km
Race Tactics
Attention turns back to Remy and the GC battle. Unlike what happened on the other Mountain stage, this time we are not going to work at all on the stage. It is BMC's jersey to defend, so why do they work for them!
Hope is for a good high stage result, and at the end of the day sit in a Top 5 position on the GC.

Race Report
With all eyes on the GC men for the stage, we decided to send Caleb up the road to claim back some points in the Points Classification
Sprint Point 1
1. C. Ewan // 2. R. Roth // 3. J. Rosskopf
A total of 4 riders formed the day's break, with Delaplace (SOJ) and Rosskopf (HND) joining Caleb and Roth (CSS) in the attack.
BMC were the main team to take control of the peleton, but seemed very relaxed at the lack of threat the lead up the road.
Time Gap -- 25km Peleton > 2'35 > Leaders
Caleb was never threatened in the battle for the Intermediate Sprints, and took maximum points on every sprint.
Sprint Point 2
1. C. Ewan // 2. A. Delaplace // 3. R. Roth
Time Gap -- 50km Peleton > 5'57 > Leaders
Sprint Point 3
1. C. Ewan // 2. J. Rosskopf // 3. A. Delaplace
Long before the climb to the finish began, the gap started to come down, as BMC added pressure to the front of the peleton.
Time for the opportunist to go on the attack. Durbridge (OGE) and Bazzana (UHC) tried to make a break.
Time Gap -- 80km Peleton > 23" > Chasers > 2'17 > Leaders
As soon as the road went upwards, Caleb just couldn't keep up the pace. Climbing is not his strong point, but his job for the day was done.
Lequatre (BSE) was the next to try going up the road, as peleton start the cimb to the finish.
Time Gap -- 93km Peleton > 12" > Lequatre > 22" > Chasers > 1'04 > Leaders
BMC continued to up the pace, and soon it was only the breakaway, minus Caleb up the road.
Sky took over control as the BMC train began to run out of steam. Remy was looking very comfortable with Fleeman for company,
Suddenly BMC ran out of riders, and Frank was looking vulnerable. Orders were given to Remy to apply his own pressure, and attack, in an attempt to test tired legs.
2km to go and only Froome (SKY) could stay with Remy. Frank was blown to pieces, and it was time for others to attack him as well.
A big attack from Froome would give him the victory and the Leader's jersey, whilst behind, Mollema BEL) would just catch Remy to take 2nd place. Great ride from Remy for 3rd.

Stage Debrief
It was a great stage for the team. Caleb showed his passion and keenness for the Points Classification by going into the break, whilst Remy was superb on the climb. Froome was too strong for him, and I think trying to stay with him to the finish was a bad mistake by him. But a podium place on the stage and up to 4th overall is fantastic.
The rest is all flat to the finish, and with minimum amount of KoM sprints on the way, so looks like Remy could come away the winner in that as well.
With the rest of the stages at Langkawi being flat, lifeless and as entertaining as Qatar, I have decided against a big report, just showing the end and the results.
*****
Le Tour de Langkawi
Mentakab-Kuantan -- 217.5km
Race Tactics
All about Ewan now. He wants that stage win, and with it all flat to the end of the race, we have a change. Remy will be looked after to make sure he does not lose any time.

Race Report
Kruopis (OGE) proved again that he is the man to be beat, with Colbrelli (BAR) and Oss (BMC) rounding off the podium. Ewan crossed the line a disappointed 25th.

Stage 6 & 7 Debrief
Two stages and two completely different outcomes for Ewan. The team was dead on its feet on stage 5, so there was no reason to be harsh on Caleb. He is young, and will have to take the rough with the smooth some days.
But my god, he can bounce back! Stage 6 was outstanding. Changed tactics, and let Caleb do his own thing instead of forming his lead out. He got himself onto Kruopis' wheel and it nearly paid off. Got a top 5 finish, and we couldn't be happier. On another day, it could have been a podium or even a win.
Three stages left, and not a single KoM sprint on them, so provided Remy finishes the race, we come away with the jersey. We need to be careful though, as Chris Butler (CSS) has shown. He crashed on stage 5, and has lost 16 minutes over the last two stages. Gone from 18th on GC to 100th place! Remy's Top 5 on GC isn't confirmed yet!
