16 GT's for Colombia is impressive yes.... but 7 GT's for Froome is more so. The 16 is split between 3 riders, so an average of 5.33 wins each.
Already this tells an awful lot about the Daily DB which is interesting and hopefully will led to improvements

2023
A new king of France
Even though some riders stood out, one man will forever be the focus point of the 2023-season, Carlos Betancur. The colombians have been dominating the Grand Tours and this year thet finally cemented their legacy. Carlos Betancur took his 5th overall Tour de France win, putting him up there among the greats such as Anquetil, Hinault, Indurain and of course Merckx.
Marcel Kittels dominance seems to be over, the German sprinter who has won nearly everything a sprinter can win, didn't score a single major win, making this yet another dissapointing season for him. In his absence, Sagan has stepped forward to prove himself as the most versatile sprinter, but perhaps not the fastest one. He could celebrate his 4th point jersey in the Vuelta, a 2nd WC-title and several WT-wins yet again.
Sep Vanmarcke, as usuall, made the spring classics his own, taking yet another G-W and RVV-win, but missing out on the treble, failing to copy last years achievement. Paris-Roubaix went to Alexander Kristoff who, for a third time, crossed the line at the velodrome first.
As mentioned, Betancur took his 5th TdF, and many wonder wether or not he can do it again to take the record for himself. With all the spectacle surrounding him, many almost failed to notice Quintana who took the Giro, aswell as Romain Bardet who came only 1'22'' from taking France' first Tour in what seems like ages.
Michal Kwiatkowski, who perhaps never fullfilled his ambitions as the great GT-rider, took home the Vuelta. Having not ridden the Tour, but instead focused solely on what argueably is the least competitive GT, might be an indication that he is on a downward spiral. His win also came as a chance of luck, since Betancur was leading the race with 4 minutes before he crashed out in stage 17, denying him another Tour-Vuelta-double.

I would guess Kittel is now 83/83 and Palacios is something like 84/84.

Nice to see Betancur taking his 5th TdF.
Also nice to see Kelderman finally winning something.
I can't wait for 2023 IRL though, can't wait that long

Downhill.
Edit: Swoosh, Zabeld.
The youngest of the top guys in the photo in Palacios, he's 29. There arn't that many top young riders coming up, but I expected a majority of newgen-wins within 2 seasons.

It's a telling sign that 10/11 years in and there's only 1 regen in the top riders based on average.
I think you should start to see them coming through after 3-4 years, be a roughly even split between real and regen riders after about 7 years and be more regens then real riders by now as the last real ones would be starting to decline over the next 2-3 years.

It seems to me more like the young riders are just developing extremely slow, rather than being to weak full out. F.E. the guy that finished at the Giro was already over 25.
Also, nice to see Betancur getting a (tied) record for Tour wins.

The thing is, if this version of PCM is anything like the 2011-version, then the coming riders won't be allrounders. You'll only have pure climbers, pure sprinters, pure cobblers, etc.
When you look at the top stats for each attribute, there are far more riders who are in the Top 10-15.

Just noticed. Dombrowski accelerates better than Kittel.

Well that isn't true, at least not for me it isn't.
In my PCM2011 career here are the top 36 riders in 2021:
As you can see there are 4 'regens' in the top 10. I can only imagine you used some dodgy xml files or something/ maybe an earlier database of PCM.
I also disagree with you saying the regens only produce 'pure' specialists. As there is a sprinter with cob78/ sprint 79 and my own squad has a Qatari with MNT/75 and TT/75.....
Whatever the case it is shocking to see regens fail in PCM2013 more so than in PCM2011 when they should be much more developed and dynamic. |

Regens don't fail with PCM13 always. Depends on regens. I play with perfectly fine regens in my careers, as I use different XMLs. |

Help, I need somebody, help, not just anybody...
(heeeelp...)
Since Imageshack has been taken over by communist-marxist-money-grabbing-capitalists, they are now charging for the use of the upload-function.
Does anyone know of a free site that works well? It's one dollar per month, but that's one dollar a month that could benefit me!
