Remy Di Gregorio has been acquitted today. According to him "toxicologic analyses showed that it were only vitamins". He will sue his former team Cofidis for "unjust termination of contract". |

What kind of weird diseases or cancers are sportsmen going to have within a dozen of years ?
Is it much worse then sniffing a couple lines of Coke while going out over the weekend?
The consequences I mean.
No idea, we don't know. And how'd you rate diseases or consequences from most to least acceptable ? I can't answer that.
Is it worst to get addicted and risk strokes or heart attacks, or is it worst to get, say, some sort of cancer, hormonal troubles, a metabolism fucked up for life, etc ? I've no idea if that'd be the consequences of an use or excessive use of Aicar, but that sounds plausible. |

Giro granted an exemption to have an extra team instead of un-inviting one of the continental teams since there are now 19 WT teams.
1 month till the Giro. Relevant riders confirmed: Betancur, Pozzovivo, Pellizotti, Brajkovic, Kessiakoff, Nibali, Gesink, Kruijswijk, Evans, Phinney, Basso, Viviani, Chaves, S.Sánchez, Demare, Hesjedal, Menchov (replaces Moreno), Petacchi, Pozzato, Scarponi, Cobo, Intxausti, Ventoso, Cavendish, Chavanel, Durbridge, Goss, Cancellara, Kiserlovski, Henao, Kiriyenka, Urán, Wiggins, Sorensen, Rujano, Di Luca and Garzelli, along with others such as Weening and Santambrogio....

Meanwhile in France... Former Roubaix rider Mickael Larpe was tried and got a 9 months suspended sentence, because of EPO and Growth Hormon doping.
His brother (amateur rider) and their father also got suspended sentences.
I don't know if that's supposed to be fair, but Mickael Larpe, despite being a convicted dopehead, keeps racing as an amateur, and winning almost every race he enters. He's now ranked as the best French amateur.

WADA apparently issued a statement last Friday about the dangers of GW 510516 (which is what I referred to earlier today).
Actually Aicar helps for endurance but not for burning fat, which is what GW 501516 is all about.
I've found more about the dangers of Aicar and GW 501516, so it's not pure speculations any more, since it's based on the risks caused by relatively similar products :
- strokes
- heart attacks
- bladder cancers (for diabetic people)
- liver toxicity (suspected)
- pancreas cancer would be more likely with GW 501516
- muscles destruction (catabolism)
Eh, it's either that or you stand no chance to win a Grand Tour these days.
