Has Porte just outclimbed Contador in freaking wall? o_O
Wow. That was an insane finish for someone with Porte's characteristics, though with his new found abilty to actually kick, I guess we shouldn't be surprised.
Huge effort for Ulissi in 5th.

More PCM money for me. Ulissi has been growingly impressive in longer climbs. I wonder if he can pull a stunt in the Ardennes. |

Well, if you can't win in a straight uphill sprint, use some marginal elbows and swerves...

With this sort of gradient riders are going to be swerving all over the place anyway, as they were about 100m before the line. It didn't look intentional at all.

Ridiculous, two years ago Contador ran circles around Porte. Anyway, Porte´s been handed the GC in silver platter in my opinion. Hope somebody can pull from him tomorrow.

He should be fine tomorrow. If there's one stage where he could struggle is friday's.

Brutish finish there really impressed by Betencur and Henao with that side by side finish.
Think Henao was a bit irregular, don't think it will be punished though, Betencur actually appeared to get slightly ahead but didn't quite keep going with it. These two though gotta be looking at Ardennes as contenders, though I feel if Purito had have been here he would have smoked that.
We are finding chinks in Quintana, he did well there of course but I expected him to win it. He lost Henao's wheel twice after initially looking comfortable enough marking him.
Time gaps are still small and two very tough road stages and a nasty looking TT to come - What a race!

3 colombians ahead of Contador (and porte). Clearly Colombia to dominate cycling
Ofcourse training and being born in 3000m mountains is even better than training on the Teide |

Yeah, he looks off the entire season now. Not bad, but not good either. Just decent.
Contador isn't really a peaker so I wonder if this is just it, or he can still improve? |
