Very pleased with 4th and 16th with Costa and Barrio working great together from what I saw in the reports. Hopefully that continues throughout the season.
And once again great reports roturn

Two stage wins, two 2nd places and the points jersey for Haussler, two in the Top15 of the GC and the best team. Not too bad although i had hoped for more GC points...
Congrats to all other winners and thanks Roturn for the reports.

Awesome way to start the season, with Dowsett edging Efimkin for overall victory! Three Africans in the Top 30 GC as well. The sprints threw up plenty of interest too, so thanks for reporting it all roturn!
Cant help thinking a performance like Zingle's is the sort that could edge Bpost into the promotion spots. If its going to be close for them, surprises like that could be crucial

Rankings
The training of Heinrich Haussler in the Sprints has so far paid off nicely for Sram-Riboxx, as they become the 2nd team this season to lead the standings. Two wins for Haussler here, plus 9th in GC for Wegmann and points for Duggan, Eichler and Huducek take them over 200 points and to the top.
Straight into 2nd after a victorious start to the season is Jaguar-Eritel, while Hollister Pro Cycling climb to 3rd despite Allan Davis performing below expectations.
Francesco Gavazzi's surprisingly strong race means that UPC go 4th, with AirBaltic maintaining their Top 5 position after Mitch Docker won the final stage. WWE slip to 6th, just ahead of Cisco Cycling Team who benefited from Efimkin's points here. Meiji are 8th, CSC-Orbea 9th and Evian 10th.
In the CT standings, Adira Isq almost overtake Allianz-BMW for the lead after a good showing by Mehr-Wenige here. Risa and Sauber could only manage a handful of points however.
All teams bar one scored points at the Tour Down Under - Amex Pro Cycling making a slow season start with a 0 pointer.

Unsurprsingly, being the first winner of a stage race this season makes Alex Dowsett the new Individual Rankings leader. Andre Greipel only falls one place to 2nd however, just ahead of Aleksandr Efimkin and Heinrich Haussler tied on 135. Dietmar Mehr-Wenige takes the lead of the CT standings.

Bad start for our Asia Tour goal, however if we maintain this scoring rate we should stay up |

That's pretty much what I was thinking too. Then again every team will get little flashes of luck throughout the season and mine just happened to come early.

Well, I was thinking Cisco would be miles ahead of us (as a major rival for the Asian Tour) but only a 20 point spread between our teams is making me happier than I was expecting to be. I suppose its because of my sprinters who Top 10'ed every flat stage.

From the Tour Down Under you scored 36 points from Hatanaka (33 for his GC position) and 4 from Arashiro. Manan's 70 points in DUC is your big plus point so far

My ratings so far is a good surprise for me although it is still too early to the party. But the bet in Mehr-Wenige already begins to take effect and the choice of races for him seems to have been right so far.

Nice haul of points for Mehr-Wenige indeed. 45 points is exactly what he'd earn for winning a C2 one day race. Good move sending him here.

To be honest I did not expect a benefit so good, but also hoped biggest names were present.

Oh right, I'd forgotten that was part of the rankings too.

Great win from Dowsett and very enjoyable race to follow as the spectator only, thanks to Roturn and his greatreports with nice vivid pictures, spiced up by the live tickers from several stages.
Congrats to Dowsett, Efimkin and especially great surprise in Gavazzi. Looks like nothing changeg in PCT, Jaguar still pawning it.
Despite riding only DUC with bad results, we are not last in the standings and there are even some 0 pointers, so that is positive too.

Happy with the result in the race. Better than many thought maybe, but I had high hopes from the start for Gavazzi. At least in the free agent pool he had a pretty unique skill set and I think I was able to sign him pretty under costed.
And great reporting. Every report was very nice to read. Plus the twitter tickers of course. Nice way to start the season for me. See you all in China!

Thanks all for your positive feedback.
Gavazzi probably took profit from being the leader. Not sure if he would be around Haussler/Davis etc. otherwise.
And btw. Rui Costa was probably the most consistent rider. Always being in the top20 on every stage.
In general it was a nice race to report as the sprints in especially were nice even though Haussler dominated two. I really like the sprint difference in comparison to PCM11. Much more thrilling to watch those.
I had hoped for a few more gaps on the hills but they just aren`t tough enough I guess. |

Not sure if Docker's win makes up for an otherwise poor race for the team.
Exciting stuff to follow throughout, though. Top reporting by Roturn, as always

Great reports, roturn, indeed!
Too bad, that my old fella Efimkin couldn't be a little bit faster on that Willunga hill, a comeback win in this division would be amazing.. But it's really nice that he is already doing the job for Cisco, he is clearly the main reason, why my team is a part of ProTour.
