Nice preview! I think we will be up there and I would probably rate us higher than an eight though, we have some good leaders |

Nice preview and good to see I'm not the only team that has potentially been hit fairly hard by the change in rules regarding declining

Really liked the preview Manx, and maybe next year we could team up as in the old days, when I'll have more time. |

The opening stage of the season has just finished behind me in Tanunda. It has been a glorious day out here in Australia. The sun shone as the brand new peloton rolled clear of Clare late this morning.
It was a fast paced day thanks to a lot of eagerness to get the season off to flying start. A lot of big names lined up here, and some of them have shown there faces and legs today.
Surprisingly for a first race there were no crashes, mechanicals or punctures all day, which surely aided the action as we sped into the finish.
Its a downhill run to Tanunda and the sprinters teams loved it, really stretching their legs and the peloton in an effort to deliver their man to the line in first place.
The final kilometer was run at over 68km/h, with some riders reportedly topping out at over 75km/h! It was fast and furious that needed the photos to separate out some of the minor placings.
A full report is to come later on tonight as soon as the final results are confirmed by the race officials. Nothing major, just trying to make sure that the Top10 are in correct order on the sheets.

Great graphics
Looking forward to the report, although I fear it was too much downhill for Veenhof

Damn! I hope this will be a bit earlier than tonight (not sure that i can be online and i can't wait to know it). Wouldn't be better a thread where just post only the report? I mean here we're at page 8 yet and there will be a little mess every time to search the report with all the comments etc...

Yes, I think there should be a " UCPCL - Race reports " thread. |

Exactly, and only the reports would go there, no " yay, I won!!! " comments. It's all up to you, but sometimes it's wise to listen to other people's opinions |

I agree with the masses here, It would make reports much easier to find if we had say 2 threads 1 - "UCPCL - WT Results" and 1 - "UCPCL - CT Results"

I always listen to people opinions and suggestions
doesn't mean i agree with them...
Easy way to stop "i won" comments, don't make then in the first place

but, what if I win?
And in all seriousness, we're not the man game, but one thread more or less won't make the difference. I agree that it would be easier to find what you're looking for

Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

The world surely won't end if the reports will be here, but what are your thoughts behind the idea of not opening this "race" thread (1 or 2, doesn't matter)?
I agree, it is kind of an element of the Man-Game, but it is not bad to take ideas from a well-designed game, and we won't be using the same system anyways, as opening new threads for every race would actually make the sub-forum really crowded.
My point is, that it's not always the best idea to find new ways, sometimes the old one is better.
But at the end of the day, it's your game, you decide how you want to make it. |

We didn't get this subforum for nothing, so why not use it? And then we may only respond here and not in that topic, to keep it organised.
But indeed, it's not like Earth would stop turning if it just stays here

@Juszta
I will direct attention the the first post of this thread, where it says all reports etc. will happen here. Thats been there since the thread opened. Thats mostly why i don't want a new thread, plus it offers quick reference to Points systems and other information in two clicks. And it makes my life easier to have it all in the one place.
I also feel that the sub-section is already rather over crowded, buts thats due to a vast array of rather pointless HQ updates and copies of other peoples HQ ideas.
If people have issues with lots of pointless comments, then don't make them, simple. I like having the comments next to the race to help provide context. If people than can't be bothered to click through a few pages and read some comments, then thats just lazy. If its a new thread you'll click over there, then click back and read all the comments anyway! so why not just have it all in one place?
I already think there are too many threads anyway (for some reason, dont ask me why it just looks really messy down here, but thats probably just due to lots of regular posting by everyone)
Starting to rant here so i'll stop myself before i start writing too much.
Summary: Makes no difference to time spent reading, less clicks, all in one place, sounds like lazyness from others. Staying here (unless it doesn't work out for some unforeseen reason (no issues in any other games occurred))
