Tour Mediterraneen Stage 5
We've finally made it to the final stage, featuring Mount Faron! Its a bit like a mountain, but its a short climb, so a hilly rider like myself could maybe survive to get a Top place finish on the stage! Boily is 10 points clear of Rovira and there is 26 points available today, so we will have to watch the stage closely.
The days breakawy consists of 14 riders! Lucas Euser was given the go ahead from the director and he will represent Spidertech and make sure that no one steals too many points away from Boily, that might harm his KoM lead!
We go over the only KoM sprint and unfortunately Euser just cant stay at the front to protect Boily's lead but it doesn't matter. At this point Rovira has to finish 1st or 2nd on the stage to steal the KoM jersey from Boily!
With 15km to go, Smukulis makes a move! Could it be the winning move?
We go up the first small hill before the actual climb, about 9km out and Jeremy Galland attacks! A few follow, but they cant keep up with him, as he chases off after the leaders now!
Now Sutherland attacks in chase of Galland and the Fothen group! Can he make it up to them? Boily is doing alright, but I have dropped down now, the climb is too steep for me, and the length is too much!
Fothen gets the win from the breakaway! This could have been Euser if he was able to keep up! But great win to him!
Here I come, up to the line! I finished inside a big group of about 40 riders. Boily finishes just ahead of me! Great ride for him, and congrats on the KoM jersey!

You might want to fix your flags for the stage result
I was hoping for more from David but it's still early in the season so hopefully better results will come soon rather then later

I scrolled up, and I guess I thought I got the stage results, but it was just the overall. Hadn't realised they let Fothen get the GC win
Glad to know! I think I want to tailor his schedule more around classics now, so hopefully he can pick it up soon!

Thanks a lot! It was nice to get the team goal! Now we need to get some good results elsewhere and maybe get some big wildcards!
I wont be able to update for the next few days! I have a lot of tests and important projects, but next week is exam prep so I will have more time then (in between my studying and sleeping)

I don't post often in this story, but follow it closely. It's a great one, lasting for so long!
Anyway, love your new reports, although the results are...... not that good, pretty bad, miserable, awful, boooohhhhh (not that bad, but had to refer to Waldorf and Statller!)

Thank you! Thats great to hear!
As for the results.... PCM 11. Cant figure this game out! attack doesn't work on mountains, so I put my climber on dot, and he can follow fine, but somehow 50 riders come flying past him in the sprint....
Hilly races......
So yeah. Motivation is low right now for this! We'll see how things go! But right now I have 2 "big" projects planned for PCM 12 and David isn't part of either
I'm very honest with you guys, so I'll just let you know, that this is not over, but PCM 11 has kinda ruined a bit of the enjoyment I was having, compared to when it was on PCM 10. However, if I dont see myself having a one-rider story, that isn't about David, so if I decide to go down that alley later on, I think you guys can guess who it will be about!
My family has just brought in a new dog to the family, and I'm quite happy, although its made the house quite a hectic place, so maybe I'm just at a "lowpoint" as I sometimes am when thinking about these sorts of things.
Thank you everyone for your support over the past year with David, even if this isn't over, and even though I may seem a bit crazy for changing my mind all the time, but trust me, I dont like it any more than you do.

Seems like an end of an era, with both yours and cunego59's stories looking like they may end soon.
Those "big" projects sound great, can't wait for whatever it is you choose to do.

I have been thinking! I might just sim out the last few years, and see where David gets! I dont know if thats an alright idea or not.... That would mean no going back though, and who knows, I may want to do this over one of my other projects when I reach my summer holidays.
And thanks!

I like that idea of starting in like 2015 when David is at his peak. You could then do like a mini-season, where you report only the Ardennes, Tour de France, and World Champs or something. Could be really cool.

It sounds like all the big storywriters are gearing up for PCM12, including me. I just hope we all don't choose the same team. Because I have a feeling my team choice to manage for my EA-Sony story is going to be a popular one ...
Very sad to hear we have reached the edge of the cliff. Hopeful the story doesn't jump but when motivation isn't high that's what happens. Good Luck

Thanks guys, and unfortunately my new dog hasn't so far
Thanks a lot of being supportive right now, I think we can all agree this stories best days were with PCM 10, and since then I haven't enjoyed it enough.
I'm glad you're excited for my next projects! And I agree! My team is CT though, so there is less chance that someone else picks them, but if they do, I have a few backup ideas
