@0buKKaKe - We will definitely go for him if he's available I will want to keep transfers realistic and in my mind I already have the riders I want We'll see if Konig is available and report later
@PCM rulezz - Indeed, great rider
@valverde321 - Fixed now thanks to Roturn
@roturn - Thanks very much, good idea with the photos. Would never thought of that fix, thx again
Giro della Calabria - Stage 2
Soverato - Vibo Valentia
Andrea Di Corrado (Colnago - CSF Inox ), Simone Campagnaro ( Team Nippo ) and Lukasz Bodnar (Bank BGZ ) are the first attackers to try espace the peleton .
We begin to climb the highest gradients of the early climb today. Early escapees re caught and new ones try to escape.
On the downhill, Andrey Kashechkin tries brave attempt, but Cataldo is already at the front puling the hopeful attack back !
On the deciding climb it’s Pineau pacing Chavanel that are pacing themselves away from the peleton
All the attempts were caught, and it’s going to be decided in a sprint. Pineau after doing amazing job pacing Chava couldn’t get into that elite group. It’s Pietropolli leading the pack, with Chava on his wheel, and Bertagnolli in perfect position, behind French rider.
Bertagnolli wins in style ! Pietropolli gets 2nd and Chavanel manages to get 3rd as gain very important bonus seconds here. The GC will be very close with the organizers somehow giving 11 seconds of advantage to Chavanel, who was directly behind Pietropolli.

Team’s Reaction
Now that had to be a close call of giving Chavanel the GC lead over Bertagnolli. There's nothing in it. The last stage might be deciding after all. We will just have to defend it and watch Bertagnolli closely. Steegmans is our man tomorrow.

This was indeed very close. Already thought you have another double win with your riders riding out of the pack. |

Seems like the race-organizers want to keep things interesting Still, another nice stage!
And I love the "downhill-screen"!

There were some amazing screens! As roturn said, very close in the end but there is still the overall lead. |

No differences between Chavanel and Bertagnolli, you got to keep your leaders jersey whatever it takes to. |

Wow, you are reporting fast, but i have finally catched up. Great screens and reports as always and nice start in Australia with Ciolek and gaining two jerseys there.
Also nice start in Italy with Chavanel with a help of Golas, good luck for the next stages

Nice to see that you have held on to your GC lead (just)
But you will have to keep your eye on the Lampre boys from now on |

@roturn – Yea, I thought similar actually, but Chava was caught soon after. Lampre did great job at the front brining him back, after that I thought Bertagnolli would attack and win with bigger gap, but thankfully he didn’t for us
@tsmoha – Indeed, good for us And thanks very much
@Batista15 – Thank you very much Batista, and glad to see you here Yea, now everything is about keeping that lead.
@Beleg32 – Thank you Beleg
@FreitasPCM – Whatever it takes indeed, we might try few things on the stage, hopefully they might work
@Avin Wargunnson – Heh, I am trying to do one race each day from now on, get to the most interesting part of the season fast Thank you Yea, just one stage, hope the team can keep Chavanel in the jersey just one more day.
@sutty68 – Indeed, Lampre boys will be very dangerous on the last stage tomorrow. But we hope we can keep them in our sight.
Giro della Calabria - Stage 3
Pizzo Calabro - Reggio Calabria
Stage 3 is the last stage in this year’s Giro della Calbria. It looks like the easiest stage, but the climb near the end of the stage, might shake things up. The stage can end in two ways. An elite break on the hill, or a mass sprint. We hope the latter.
GC Favourites
*** Bertagnolli, Chavanel, Bole
** Niemiec, Brajkovic, Bosisio
* Pineau, Szmyd, Sella, Trofimov
Team Objective
The plan is simple today, as yesterday. We just have to keep eyes on the Lampre riders and keep that GC lead. Nothing else to add, we might send Cataldo into the break, as he is out of the GC contention to relive pressure on us doing the pace in the peleton.
Keep the GC lead

Giro della Calabria - Stage 3
Pizzo Calabro - Reggio Calabria
At the start of the last stage there is a lot of nervousness in the peleton, let’s hope it goes our way !
Davide Ricci Bitti is the sole attacker at the beginning of the stage !
Rabon is doing immense job at the front puling countless breaks. It’s already 30km into the stage and there is no break made yet. We might ease the pace now.
The break formed short after, with 57km to go they have meager 2 minutes of advantage. All of the riders here are more than five minutes behind in the Overall, so no worries.
On the climb we got in a good position, we have to be careful so Pineau and Chava are controlling the peleton.
The break were caught by Chavanel on the climb and it’s all compact again. 111 riders in the peleton now. Looking good for us so far.
Serov ( RusVelo ) and Bisolti ( Idea ) attack out of the peleton. With 20km to go they have 2’32” and increasing. That’s good for us as we don’t really want any time bonus at the end available for Bertagnolli .
The late break will indeed win today. It’s Bisolti that is the stronger rider and is pulling away with 2km.
It’s Bisolti that wins and get a fantastic win for Team Idea on the penultimate stage !
In the peleton, riders are fighting it out for 3rd only today. It’s Filippo Baggio leading, but Pineau and Chava are in perfect position behind him.
Chavanel after unbelievable sprint from him manages to hold on 3rd and hold off Rheis at the end .

Team’s Reaction
Perfect way to finish the month. Chavanel wasn’t feeling good today with -2, but still managed great 3rd in the sprint and with this takes all the jerseys available for us. The team did great throughout and we did better than expected. We are now ready for the tougher races in February and March.
Hope you enjoyed the reports. Later on we will have our first review of the month so stay tuned

January Sumary
Races and Winners - January
The new season started with 7 big races in January. Topping the list was Pro Tour race - Tour Down Under. It was a race we we performed admirably and finished on 4th GC with Ciolek with other jerseys too.
2nd biggest race in Malysia was won by Andrey Zeits. Surprsing winner, beating more renowned climbers such as Rui Costa ( Movistar ) or Tiago Machado ( RSNT ). In the sprints, Andre Schulze showed his strength with amazing six wins.
Giro della Calabria was the last stage race this January and one dominated by our rider - Sylvain Chavanel. Grand Prix d'Ouverture La Marseillaise was the first classics of the season, with another unexpected winner, Anthony Ravard.

Matthew Goss wins this month's award with relative ease. He won two biggest races this month. A tough Nationals and a even tougher Tour Down Under. Worthy winner.
Luke Durbridge takes young rider after his 3rd place in National Time Trial Championships.

Volta ao Algarve
Volta ao Algarve is the most important stage-race for us this February. Arguably the most prestigious as well, we will target the sprints with Steegmans/Ciolek. The race is very important to us as it's first big test before Paris Nice. Tony Martin will make his debut team, along Levi so it;s important to get a good result here.
Omloop Het Nieuwsblad
The classic that opens the cobble season. And one of the most important too. It's Boonen first test on the cobbles and one probably against Cancellara too, so it will be very important to show our form there.
Hope you Enjoyed The Month Summary. We are off to Qatar now, wish us luck !
