Today's Vail ITT will be very tough. A big climb up, and hopefuly I can keep my top-10! Cadel will hopefully control his yellow jersey all the way to Denver.
USA Pro Cycling Challenge
Stage 4 -ITT
Vail ITT - 16kms
Despite the climb, Jesse Sergent continued his great form setting the fastest new time of 26'27".
Stage 1 winner Seb Rosseler came in 10" ahead of Sergent at the first check, so he would probably set the new no.1 time.
The Belgian came in 17" ahead of Sergent. Great time.
But suprsingly, two more riders came in and set new best times. Partridge of Endura rode the course in 26'06" while Boaro blew the field into bits with a 25'50".
BMC's Brent Bookwalter had a great ride, coming in at 2nd place, 7" behind Boaro!
George Hincapie was looking for a good ride in his home country! Could he impress?
George was closing on Tyler Peterson in front of him, and set the 7th best at the first timecheck.
The new times were coming thick and fast with David Millar, Jack Bauer and D. Cornu all setting top times, but David Cozza was at the top with a fantastic 25'36".
I set off and with open road ahead of me, anything was possible!
Hincapie had a bad second half and comes in in 38th place, well off.
Cadel Evans came off the ramp in yellow, and looks to finish all arguments that he is the best rider her in Colorado.
I came in first check well off the pace in 68th, but the climb hadn't even started yet!
Tim sprints to the line and comes in 17th, 49" off Mendes, who has set a new best!
Cadel set the best intermediate time, 9" ahead of Cozza!
Rory Sutherland with a new best!
King of the Mountains Geniez of Skil is a reliable time-trialer, can he make a difference today? He comes in 2nd, 6" off Sutherland.
And Evans cruises to the line, and absolutely destroys all his competitors, best time by 29"!
He is the best rider here, no doubt!

Not my best day out there, but it was definitely one of Cadel's best. What a ride!
Tomorrow is a well deserved rest in the form of a flat stage for the climbers, but the sprinters will be looking for glory.
Until tomorrow,
Tim.

Now don't get too excited, no huge announcements yet.
With RadioShack merging with Leopard, BMC have managed to snag a youngster after one year with the team.
Rider In:
Jesse is one of the most promising time-trial prospects in the world right now, and has proved that this season. I rode with him last season at Trek - Livestrong so we're good friends. Always good to have a kiwi on the team.
Unfortunantely though, we have lost one of our best riders for 2012..
Rider Out:
Allesandro underperformed at the northern classics this year, and BMC chose not to resign the Italian. He was distraught at the news, but has attratced a lot of attention from ProTour teams so we wish him well.
Still 2 more announcements to come, you've had some good guesses but I am waiting until the World Champs before I announce my 2012 team!
Keep guessing!
Tim.

Tim should stay with BMC because he will learn alot from Cadel, Wiggo and Fabian.
I think BMC will sign Andy Schleck because they got Fabian hahaha/

Just read through the whole story and I really enjoyed it. Some really nice results with Tim, especially in Austria.

@GreenEDGEFan Yep, Cadel is a machine!
@rorzcp No comment. hahah
@Pellizotti2 Tim really rode well in Austria. Thanks for the comments, hope you become a long time reader!
This stage is flat, and will most likely end in a sprint finish.
USA Pro Cycling Challenge
Stage 5
Avon - Steamboat Springs :
With 38kms to ride, the 10-man BOTD had 3'15" on the rest of the field.
With 15kms they weree holding to a 1'05" lead, but were inevitably caught with 7.5kms remaining.
Landbouwkerdiet had a good trian going at the front, with Bobbie Traskel leading out D. Commeyne. Skil's train had fallen apart so Van Hummel was sticking to Commeyne's wheel.
Traskel let Commeyne go with 900m to ride, and he had an early lead!
Van Hummel made his move in the final 300m and just passed the Belgian Commeyne, taking a great win, even with no lead out!
MAYHEM! A big crash on the final turn has caused some big gaps in the peloton! All BMC riders are behind the peloton!
Cadel crosses the line for BMC first, losing 1'57 to the front group, which contained 2nd place Navarro!

Disaster in Colorado! Cadel has moved down to 2nd place and I've moved to 12th! All after a stupid crash! That is absolute bullshit, who makes a huge right hand turn, 300m before the end of a race! I'm not happy at all.
Tim.

@rorzcp haahha, man, you gotta calm down. The WC's are in about 2 weeks, 3 more stages in Pro Cycling Challenge, then the Vuelta ends, then the WC's.

I'm sure it's all Navarro's fault.

You were riding very good in Colorado but the stupid crash made Tim lose his top 10. Too bad.

This mountain stage is as decisive as anything. Cadel is 50" behind Navarro, and this stage is a great chance for him to get that gap. The DS says that I have proven my form is still great, so he wants me to lead Evans up the final climb at 100% until I'm absolutely out of it, and then let him go. I am willing to give up my GC-position for the team, and let's just hope Evans gets 50" on Navarro.
USA Pro Cycling Challenge
Stage 6
Steamboat Springs - Breckenridge : 120.9kms
After setting a very fast pace up the first climb, BMC got a great result with a small group forming at the front. The 7-man group contained 4 BMC riders (Evans , Tim , Eijssen , Louder ) as well as leader Navarro, his teammate Nicki Sorensen, and Caja Rural's Mora.
They were heading downhill fast, and had about 1'00" on the following peloton.
After taking a beating up front, Eijssen and Louder both fell back, along with Mora. There was now a 4-man group up front with 41kms to ride.
Cadel and I would have to work very hard here, and now it was mission yellow jersey.
With 11kms to ride, Geniez, Sutherland and Rutkiewicz joined the front group. The Frenchman then attacked, and Navarro, Evans followed.
Soon, Evans and Navarro were alone in front while Tim , Sutherland, Geniez and Sutherland followed.
We joined them in front, and I started riding fast for Cadel. I was really stinging but as long as Cadel got yellow I was happy.
Navarro attacked, but Evans countered terrifically and was out in front!
Evans was into the final kilometre alone! He would no doubt win the stage, but by how much?
The Aussie crosses the line, and the clock started for Navarro's group!
Navarro is going, but he's 1'50 back!
Evans reclaims the yellow jersey!
I roll across the line in 8th, and the pain in my legs is unbelievable.

Mike Tomalaris Interview with Cadel Evans
Mike Tomalaris: Hi Cadel, you rode absolutely magnificently there at the end. Did you have a plan for today's stage, and are you still bitter about yesterday's crash?
Evans: I didn't do too bad did I, hey? That crash yesterday was just one of those things that happens, and we got pretty unlucky, but just moved on. Our plan for today was that I would try and hold on until the last climb, but on that first climb, Navarro just was going so fast we suddenly had a break. It changed the whole ride, but I have to say, Timmy Roe, he is absolutely brilliant. The way he supported me was vital for my win today and without him I think I would still be in 2nd place overall.
Mike T: He did pretty well himself, finishing 8th. Do you think the young man can contend in the future?
Evans: Absolutely. No doubt, remember the name Tim Roe because he will be up there in the Grand Tours very soon.
I'm pretty happy with that.
Tim.

For a final stage, this is pretty hilly. The climbs are pretty weak, but still, it could be interesting. Maybe I can go for a breakaway today!
USA Pro Cycling Challenge
Stage 7
Golden - Denver : 132kms
Tim started the race with a big attack.
But as nobody followed, he dissolved back into the pack.
As T. Peterson and Rovny attacked though, Tim went at it again.
We got a couple minutes on the field, but were reeled in again with 100kms to ride, and I gave up.
Soon though, a BOTD formed and with 80kms to go around the city, the break had 4'15".
The BMC boys were not happy, and were cutting the lead fast in defense of Cadel Evans .
The break was caught with 28kms to ride, and the sprint trains would form soon.
On the penultimate hill, some attacks were made. Scheirlinckx, Hermans and Evans were the big names involved.
The final hill now, and with just 3kms to ride, Navarro, Evans , Hermans Timmer and Bauer attack.
With 2kms Evans attacks again, and Navarro can't react.
Nobody is near, and Evans caps off his win with a deserved celebration!

We are all rapt for Cadel and his yellow, and top-10 for me isn't half bad at all.
Well, that is my season 2011. I will be giving some more transfer news, and a Vuelta and 2011 review soon as well. What a year it has been!
Tim.

This is the ITT World Championships. Fabian Cancellara will not participate due to injury, so Bradley Wiggins and Tony Martin are the favourites. It's all about form in this race, and we are unsure bout who is best equipped for victory on this bumpy course through the city. I'm watching on Australian TV here in Adelaide, so I'll report mainly about Aussie riders.
World ITT Championships
Copenhagen : 43.6kms
After a great Vuelta, Luis Leon Sanchez is one of the top favourites for today's race. He set off near the start.
3-time World ITT Champ Michael Rogers was off straight after, and although his form isn't great, a good time was still in reach.
Rogers beat Westra by 20" on the first timecheck.
Cameron Meyer was the next Australian rider off the ramp, looking for a top-20.
Andreas Kloden is a proven time-trial winner, and his form has been great recently.
Michael Rogers finishes the race in 7th, 1'11" off Westra after a poor second half.
David Millar is the real deal when it comes to time-trials, and will look to go one better after being runner-up last year in Geelong.
Cameron Meyer finishes, and what a time! He is in 5th, just 34" behind leader Taylor Phinney!
Andreas Kloden comes over, 34" better than Phinney! Terrific time!
Edvald Baosson Hagen, Dave Zabriskie and Denis Menchov were all off soon, and the real good times were now coming in!
Vuelta champ Alberto Contador has had some breathtaking form recently, and if that is anything to go by, he should be seriously considered for the overall honours today.
Jack Bobridge finishes in 22nd place, 1'44" back. A good time.
Gustav Larrson, Richie Porte, Brad Wiggins and Tony Martin all started and the real race began!
Boasson Hagen, with a speedy Denis Menchov on his tail, comes in and finishes well off Kloden.
Menchov comes over in 6th, 40" off Kloden.
David Zabriskie comes in 2nd place, but still 29" off leader Kloden who has set a great time!
Alberto Contador sprinted to the line, and finishes 10th, 50" off the German.
Yellow and Blue Larsson gets the same time as teammate Contador.
Richie Porte does his best, but is still 38" behind Kloden.
Bradley Wiggins, with a very fast Tony Martin pushing from behind, finishes
a dissapointing 13th, 52" off.
Could Tony Martin beat Kloden, or is the RadioShack rider going to wear rainbows?
He sprints.... WOW! Tony Martin with a huge time! 30" over Kloden and the German 1-2 is completed to the way of Martin!

A new time-trial world champ in Tony Martin, but I think if Fabian was here, he would have something to say about that.
Road-Race tomorrow, GO Aussie!
Tim.
