Thanks guys!
@beagle, too late mate But I know those results are pretty unrealistic, you´ll see it later. Way too easy.....didn´t know that before. |

VUELTA A ANDALUCIA
The following stage race is in Spain with some nice stages. The last results ofr HTC were quite ok but nothing special so far. One of our stars, Tony Martin, is going to open up his season with this race as Matthew Goss is back for the sprints with Degenkolb, Howard and Danny Pate as support. Another important rider is Michael Albasini. He will prepare his shape for the next one day classics in the end of February and of course the next weeks.
HTC-HIGHROAD
The favourites:
+++ Popovych, Martin, Coppel
++ Anton, Sagan, Paulinho
+ Irizar, Albasini, Engoulvent
Especially Team Radioshack will be a strong competition there while Igor Anton is another one for the second stage which is pretty hilly with some harder climbs. All in all, we´re trying to get at least one stage win ( The first stage doesn´t count for that!). Tony Martin might be possible to get a nice overall position in the end but his main goal is Paris-Nice next month. |

Good luck in Andalucia! Let's hope Albasini or Goss could get a stage win and Martin does good in the overall!

A short prologue with 6,7 kilometres will open up this stage race in Andalucia. The terrain is quite tricky though as there are some hilly sections with some nice downhills, too. Our team is full with great time trialists and specialists for prologues like that.
The favourites:
+++ Martin
++ Sagan, Coppel
+ Popovych, Sergent, Rosseler
Jesse Sergent came with the first good time today as there were no one, setting a serious time. The whole Radioshack team had a great day. 12´20 for Sergent.
The first HTC rider was Danny Pate. His time was just amazing. Sergent had no chance against him. 12´06 it´s the new best time for Danny Pate.
Our sprint captain Matthew Goss was on fire after Leigh Howard surprised a lot. He got an incredible time with 12´11 but Goss wasn´t that fast. 12´15 for the Australian Road Champion. Strange stage up to here as Hayden Roulston also was in the Top 5.
Peter Sagan was the first one, splitting the HTC domination at the front. He couldn´t beat Pate´s time but he still got a nice one with 12´13.
Radioshack captain Popovych is one of the biggest favourites for the overall win but is he good enough to beat the leading rider Pate? Not really, he´s even one second behind Peter Sagan. 12´14
With only 3 riders left, it was Coppel trying to set a better time. He´s one of the best time trialists in the pack but he still had no chance against Pate. Anyway, he´s the fastest rival so far with only 4 seconds behind. 12´10
Tony Martin was the last one for HTC and maybe the best. As I told you before his shape isn´t that good at the moment but with an amazing day form he was able to ride a great time. Pate´s time was unbeatable but Martin takes the second with only 3 seconds behind his team mate. 12´09
Last but not least, Igor Anton. He´s not famous for good prologues but he´s still a big favourite for the overall. He passed the finish line with 19 seconds to Pate. A big domination by our team but don´t take it too serious as we all know this stage is way too easy. Didn´t know that before unfortunately.

Surprising win by Pate over Martin But still a great result for HTC.. although this stage has always been too easy since PCM10. Hope you can defend this position now!

This is the weirdest stage in the history of PCM's. I remember in the 2010 version making 1-2-3 with FDJ, Delage, Ladagnous and Pineau the riders. So it doesn't really take to be a prologue specialist. |

+1 It's all because of the downhill in the beginning |

Thanks guys! Indeed, Danny Pate´s performance was a nice surprise for all of us.
Today´s stage is already the queen stage in Andalucia with 150 kilometres. Especially the first two climbs are pretty hard although the pack won´t be that fast there. The stage final is easier with some downhills and some flat kilometres.
The favourites:
+++ Anton
++ Martin, Popovych
+ Sagan, Coppel, Paulinho
Today´s breakaway was quite big with more than 10 riders. The most famous names were Paulinho and Jan Barta. Big surprise to see Paulinho in front as he was one of my favourites for the stage and maybe the overall, too.
Well, the leading group was very strong today and we had no support in the pack when we´re chasing them. It was Michael Albasini, starting an attack on the last uphill of today´s stage. The pack was too slow for bringing the group back but maybe Albasini could do that with a solo ride.
But it was too late! We lost the yellow jersey today to Delio Fernandez who took the stage while Paulinho also finished in this group.
Well done by Albasini as he crossed the finish line with only one minute and 20 seconds to Paulinho&Co. He´s the best HTC rider in the overall now.
Tony Martin and Danny Pate finished in the pack, loosing more than 3 minutes while Sagan won the sprint here. Unlucky stage for us, Paulinho might be the big favourite for the overall as there is still one hilly stage left.

Too bad you couldn't pull down the break.. will be hard to gain a Top-10 now.. HTC has to do a high pace in next stages to drop some of today's escapees!

Thanks, great to read all your posts
The last stage was indeed quite strange especially that no team made the pace except HTC so it was too hard for us to reduce the gap. Stage 3 is following in a few moment. |

We´re not that happy with yesterday´s stage and the results for our team. The overall is quite strange as many escapes are in front except Paulinho, he might be the biggest favourite after that crazy race process. We might try to send one of our best riders into the break of today´s stage. The stage final is not that easy with a short uphill sprint and some other climbs before.
The favourites:
+++ Anton
++ Martin, Popovych
+ Coppel, Paulinho, Sagan
Our tactic was quite sucessful, bringing Danny Pate in today´s breakaway. The group had a nice adavantage over the pack with more than 6 minutes.
This time it wasn´t HTC, making the pace. The other teams had the pressure this time as Danny Pate was still in the leading group with more than 4 minutes to Paulinho&Co.
Unfortunately Pate lost some seconds in the final sprint as he was just completely exhausted in the end. Tiziano Dall'Antonia takes the stage and the leader´s jersey. Danny Pate did an amazing job today finishing on the 8th position but the most important thing is, he is back in the overall competition as 4th. Martin came in with the pack while Albasini and Goss had a small gap to him after the uphill sprint.
Stage results
1 | Tiziano Dall'Antonia | Liquigas - Cannondale | 4h23'52 | 2 | Ivan Rovny | Team RadioShack | + 11 | 3 | Fabrice Jeandesboz | Saur - Sojasun | + 15 | 4 | Roger Kluge | Skil - Shimano | s.t. | 5 | Mariusz Witecki | CCC Polsat Polkowice | s.t. | 6 | Pablo Urtasun | Euskaltel - Euskadi | s.t. | 7 | Igor Romero | Caja Rural | s.t. | 8 | Danny Pate | HTC - Highroad | + 28 | 9 | Jean-Marc Marino | Saur - Sojasun | + 34 | 10 | Diego Gallego | Burgos 2016 - Castilla y León | + 1'34 | 11 | Jesús Rosendo | AndalucÃa Caja Granada | + 3'45 | 12 | Amets Txurruka | Euskaltel - Euskadi | s.t. | 13 | Jérôme Coppel | Saur - Sojasun | + 3'50 | 14 | Michael Albasini | HTC - Highroad | + 4'10 | 15 | Peter Sagan | Liquigas - Cannondale | s.t. |

This time the other teams messed up controlling the pace Pate a bit unfortunate in the end, but still climbing on GC's 4th! Good news for HTC. Now take control of the pack and get those 35" to GC's 1st

Thanks a lot!
The hilly stage are gone and we´re back on the flat terrain for the last two stages. Pate´s ride yesterday was quite impressive but more than a 4th overall place might be not possible. The following stage is made for the sprinters like Matthew Goss or Marcel Kittel.
The favourites:
+++ Goss, Kittel
++ Sagan, Degenkolb
+ Hunter, Fernandez, Finetto
The sprint preperation was an amazing one for HTC this time. Our train was ready very early with Roulston, Pate, Howard, Degenkolb and our sprint captain Matt Goss. On the left came Liquigas with Finetto and Peter Sagan.
The sprint was started quickly by Finetto for Sagan. Maybe too early as there were still 3 kilometres to go and Sagan was already in the wind while Degenkolb just had to follow him.
One kilometre to go and Matt Goss made his final move after Degenkolb brought him in this great position. Sagan was exhausted after 2 kilometres.
Easy but still a great stage win for Matthew Goss. Degenkolb could even save the third position in front of a quick Hunter. Fernandez passed Degenkolb on the last metres.
Stage results
1 | Matthew Goss | HTC - Highroad | 4h09'09 | 2 | Koldo Fernández | Euskaltel - Euskadi | s.t. | 3 | John Degenkolb | HTC - Highroad | s.t. | 4 | Robert Hunter | Team RadioShack | s.t. | 5 | Marcel Kittel | Skil - Shimano | s.t. | 6 | Karl Menzies | UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling | s.t. | 7 | Tiziano Dall'Antonia | Liquigas - Cannondale | s.t. | 8 | Peter Sagan | Liquigas - Cannondale | s.t. | 9 | André Schulze | CCC Polsat Polkowice | s.t. | 10 | Maciej Paterski | Liquigas - Cannondale | s.t. | 11 | Bruno Lima | Onda | s.t. | 12 | Mauro Finetto | Liquigas - Cannondale | s.t. | 13 | Juan José Lobato | AndalucÃa Caja Granada | s.t. | 14 | Jacek Morajko | CCC Polsat Polkowice | s.t. | 15 | Jérémie Galland | Saur - Sojasun | s.t. |

A very nice sprint victory. You have a strong train if your lead-out can finish 3rd!
