Why so pessimistic? Netherlands to have a bunch of worthy material. Anyway, I'm jealous

Why? There's nothing to be jealous off, the years of big Dutch success are of the past. And they're only good enough to win 1.1, 2.1 and sometimes a smaller or new World Tour race... hurray.

Don't you wish you were South African, with our dominant performances.

Yes, then you have Robert Hunter and John Lee Augustyn.

In PCM Augustyn was always good for a Vuelta or 2

due to heavy rain, today's course has been slightly changed: final climb should be harder than expected

That is the dream, a couple of Vuelta wins in PCM07.

Very good finish by Evans and a good stage by Löfkvist again

Nibali made a mistake to slow down..but was quite empty there

Great stage, happy for Evans to get the win and most likely secure the overal in tomorrows TT. I hope Machado moves up in overall(pretty decent TT), then radioshack will be having a super start the year.

This guy seems to be quite a classy rider.
He did well at Tour Med, he's got a really good shape at the moment...

Great ride by Evans, Poels looks promising Grin

He did alright, but still he couldn't finish with the leading group and again lost some important seconds.

Really exiting finish, Evans really showed class letting the rivals blow themselves up before taking the stage win for himself.

Looking more and more forward to the Giro, will be one heck of a battle!

lup_andrei
Very happy for Cadel, let's hope tomorrow he will score his biggest one week stage race win of his career.

Evans played it well, responded to the right attacks Smile Poels again looking great and tbh i expected Gesink to have more problems the end result would suspect, at 30km i said to myself, he is gonna be the big loser of today. Langeveld and the team did great tho to bring him back and up front, but then it got way too explosive for him. In the end surprised that he came in at the same time as Evans.

Btw, what a fck up by Lampre at the intermediate sprint xD

In the end of the ride, nice final and a good winner. At least the favourites tried something Smile

lup_andrei
I don't think Gesink got the same time as Evans, but let's wait for the official full results.

Conran
well, i just read he is now 4th in the overall, so it kinda has too be that he was in the same time, but lucky tho, cause he was indeed pretty far off Wink

Yehh but he got a flat tire with 10km left so its strong to get back and not lose so much time
