Hello everyone,
First, I installed the pack "PCM.daily's Expansion Pack", then "PCM.daily's Expansion Pack for Patch 1.0.3.0. Now, "PCM.daily's Expansion Pack - V1.0.3.0 to V2 'and then I installed the the pack PCM.daily's Expansion Pack V2.1 Patch."

Everything in that order.

I followed the directions, but when I use the database "PCM.daily's Expansion Pack - V1.0.3.0 to V2" or "PCM.daily's Expansion Pack V2.1 Patch," when I start playing the game 3D, a message appears: "There is no disk in the drive. Insert a disk into drive \ Device \ Harddisk3 \ Dr3 ".

Does anyone know what this message might be?

I have the 1.0.4.1 patch installed the game, is some incompatibility?

I ask because, if I use the database by default "officialdatabase" which is installed with the game, this message does not appear.

I already uninstalled the game several times and returned to install but still ever to appear this message.

I would appreciate any help to solve this problem because I really wanted to play with this database spectacular.

Thanks

Thx for the reaction CrueTrue but the crash happens when the race is going on :s, it's not an issue of system requirements because it's a brand new computer which meets the requirements very good!

Quadcore 3 GHz
Ram: 8 GB
ATI Radeon 5500 HD (1 GB DDR3)
...

Do you know another solution?

I don't really care about your system specs Pfft

There's a 1.8 GB limit on the game. When you use up that amount of RAM, the game will crash.

The PCM.daily DB adds a lot of extra equipment which take up RAM, meaning that it's more likely to crash than the standard DB, especially if all settings are set to the maximum. Lower them, and the game won't crash.

Hey, thx again for the answer, what should I lower? Which settings will reduce the weight for the RAM but still show beautifull textures? You understand what I mean?

Definitely deactivate shadows, anti-aliasing, anistr. and motion blur.
Everything else on maximum works fine for me and looks pretty well.

Team Sprocket in continental is rated at max stars despite only having 7 or so poor riders ? How to fix this ? Thanks.

Do not use the team IDs 120, 121 and 122 (Meridiana, Sigma, Sprocket)

Use the team IDs 82, 83 and 84 for example.

Hi CrueTrue,

Thanks for the reply.

My problem is a bit different.

I uninstalled the game again, I erased all records of the game (regedit), restarted the computer (OS Windows7 64bit) and went back to install the game but with a difference, it was the installation folder C:\Program Files\Pro Cycling Manager Season 2010 instead of C:\ Program Files (x86)\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager Season 2010 (default)

After I installed individually PCMdaily packs (First, I installed the pack "PCM.daily's Expansion Pack", then "PCM.daily's Expansion Pack for Patch 1.0.3.0. Now, "PCM.daily's Expansion Pack - V1.0.3.0 to V2 'and then I installed the the pack PCM.daily's Expansion Pack V2.1 Patch.", and always operated without giving the error message that gave earlier ("There is no disk in the drive. Insert a disk into drive \ Device \ Harddisk3 \ Dr3 ".)

I do not know if that my story will help someone else in this forum but resulted with me now if it was coincidence or not, I do not know.

Thanks

Legio:

The problem is the same, and appears on 32bit / 64bit systems as soon as the PCMdaily pack 1.0.3.0. and later are applied. It has nothing to do with your registry or your operating system.

Instead, the fault is, as described in: https://pcmdaily.c...d_id=14453 , a matter of coding somewhere in the PCM data that went wrong. I've been searching for it for some time now, and have still to find the actual problem itself. So far, disabling peripheral devices is my only suggestion to you.

Reading through the entire thread will clarify the issue for you - And there are some different options for a temporary solution you can try out. I urge you to read all posts in the previously mentioned thread.

Hello Ithaca,

But what is true is that after I have done the procedures described above, a 3D game, is working perfectly, without showing the error message.

What I had connected to my computer before, is what I have on now.

So it's very strange.

Anyway, thank you for your response.

i obtained a huge increase in performance (higher fps, games running much more smoothly) and a decrease in game crashes (during and at the end of races) by removing the equipment feature of the pcmdaily db.

i've restored in my savegame the original sta_equipment_* tables and set in dyn_team all teams to use defeault cyanide equipment.

by doing this the game uses much less RAM, stages load faster, game run much better and doesn't crash very often.

It is strange. I'm guessing it's somehow related to peripherals and their assignments and IRQ's in the operating system. It could be a simple conflict, that's somehow fixed by plugging the equipment back in.

That is not always the case, however, which just baffles me even more :-|

very quick method is:

open your savegame (or pcmdaily database if you want to make it permanent) with lachis'editor. go to dyn_team table and set same values for each team in columns:

fkIDequipment_marques_roue
fkIDequipment_marques_cadre
fkIDequipment_marques_helmet

by doing this each team will use the same brand for equipment, drastically reducing amount of used ram (game will need to load less files in memory)

Spoiler

i've gone a little bit further by replacing tables

STA_equipment
STA_equipment_marques

with the original officalrelease ones (this way i removed completely all the new pcmdaily equipments from db)

then i set in dyn_team

1 for fkIDequipment_marques_roue
7 for fkIDequipment_marques_cadre
25 for fkIDequipment_marques_helmet

(those are standard cyanide equipment)

new equipments are a really nice feature in pcmdaily db, but as i don't have a very powerful pc, i had to remove it.

i hope my explanation and english are both good enough

If the FCM DB came with the correct name (voeckler), it's using the FCM DB's file, and the problem lies with them.

Ok sorry for deleting my post, but I thought I figured it out. Anyway, that makes sense. I'll go looking around. I remember installing the 2003 db as well and that would make the most sense for all the errors too as I'm missing most riders pics.

Edit: And I have now fixed it. Had to re-patch the game with the daily v2.1 update and everything works fine. Still nit sure if it was the FCM or the 2003 db but hey, its working again.

It seems like there's no bonusses for the french one-day race at 29/08. The game crashes for me on this date.

I had the same problem with the previous DB, and it was fixed with CrueTrue sending me a file for the race. (cont_11_chateauroux.rar)

Could anyone help me out again?

Maybe you can take another stage and rename it to that ... wrong profile-race but at least u can continue?
