Riccardo Ricco, some people don't learn if this is true, hes a disgrace and so are Italian cyclists.
the reason why many italian riders get caught is not about italian cyclists doping more than others, is about italian federation, police and prosecutors investigating much more deeply than in any other country.
Don't forget we have to thank italian federation if we got rid of valv-piti for 2 years.
OP's Antonio Serrano or ridicolous 5-month ban for Lhotellerie are disgraces for cycling, cyclists getting caught are not. |

I got nothing to hide, but I would prefer to have some privacy if I ever do a urinetest atleast :-p Then again, I would prolly have problems with just the controller watching, for some reason I can't pee with others in the room (except when really drunk :-p)

In general, it's a bad argument.
If you have nothing to hide, can I please install a lot of cameras in your house? I mean, you have nothing to hide, so what's the problem? |

I never used to be able to either. Drink always seemed to help too... or maybe it's just when drunk I can't hold it in long enough to wait for a cubicle...

Now I talked about dopeing, I would prefer that you do not watch while I do, ehm, private stuff :-p Just that I would understand that riders would not want too many peeking at their peeing. Now that I think again though they tend to pee everywhere, so my argument might be void :-p

As far as I understood the "Cobra Red" case, Cobra doesn`t mean Ricco. In a German article they said that Ricco isn`t involved in this case.
Just because I read in this or in the Worlds thread a lot about "Ricco`s end".
But still there are not enough news about the whole case to be sure about everything. |

From what I can tell, I'd say that Ben Swift broke something yesterday in his fall at the British National Track Champs. The way he was holding his arm, as if it needed to be in a sling was not exactly confidence inspiring.

I'm not sure whether this belongs here or in the transfer topic, but BBox's chances to get a new sponsor for next season are getting thinner every day.

Update on the Bernaudeau's team : JR Bernaudeau was supposed to come up today with a new sponsor's name, supposedly a bank company. That didn't happen, so he asked to his riders to wait till next Monday before signing with another team.
edit : that would be... Caisse d’Épargne !

Hmm, that's a shame if BBox folds after this season. After all they have had a great season imo. Voeckler is a quality rider, Gauthier and Rolland are two promising riders, who I think in a team where they are given much confidence can continue to develop into top-level riders. Charteau surprised at the TdF, and he for sure is a good helper in the mountains. Arashiro is a good cyclist and Turgot has potential as well. Some interesting riders who have to look for a new team if they indeed fold! |

It looks like Xacobeo Galicia will have to fold. There's been a cut in the public funding to the team, and no private sponsor has come to fill that void yet. |

Caisse D'Epargne might save Bouygues Telecom?

I'm hating this offseason for one simple reason: Teams officially confirm facts....then go back on them.
About a month or so ago Xacobeo said they had enough backing from new small sponsors to offset the reduction in participation from the local government so the team was officially continuing....
Today they say the team is dead because they don't have enough.

I couldn't find anything about Bernaudeau's team yet. But I suppose that, either way, announcements should be made today. Either to say Voeckler and friends have signed here or there, either to say they've found a sponsor at the last minute. |

I haven't seen this anywhere on here: Daniel Kreutzfeldt quit at the tender age of 22. He lacks motivation after being dropped by the Danish track team.

Wonder where Voeckler are going if the team stops. I can't really picture him anywhere else, he's Mr.Boygues Telecom (spelling?) for me

For the longest time I've had the feeling he'll end up at Saur

According to Professor Verner Møller, the UCI has a "blacklist" of riders they strongly "advise" teams not to sign. They take the initiative of going up to teams wanting to sign these riders and saying "don't. just don't."
Among the list is Rasmussen, who Katusha, Astana and Fuji have wanted to sign in the past.
Odd. Very odd.

With a name like Verner, he's almost a credible source. Besides, it's a credible theory.
