Every single of this cyclists is not a pro rider anymore. Go home. Retire. Utterly pathetic.

Are there any other time trial specialists than Froome with? Smile

Do not think we get a danish stage wins today, but we never know with the country, they can always surprise Grin

Froome should take a minute or two at least off his nearest rivals today.
It's too little too late for the overall win but he should cement his runner up spot.
Contador should also leapfrog Chaves into 3rd.

I stopped reading after few paragraphs...nobody forces him to earn money via being professional bike rider. If he finds that job too tough, so they have to make the new rules for these situations, he can quit and start working in the office.

My boss and laws (rules i have to follow in my job) are not interested in how tough was my day, i have to work, not just cruise through the day...

Castroviejo, Ludvigsson, Campaenerts...not much more, maybe Konig or Moser can do something next to GC guys.

What a joke of a blog! :lol::lol::lol::lol:

"But what is also clear is that no rule was broken." - Larry Warbasse
What a grade 1, class a, top notch fool.

But guys, lets us all remember, even though thy failed at their jobs, "our group achieved unity that day, and that is something we should be proud of." they failed together and isn't that the true goal of cycling?

"Sure, there are many of us that could have ridden harder and reached the finish line within the time limit, but we chose not to do it that day. We made a decision as a group to stick together; to cross the finish line with our fellow riders – those on our own team as well as others"
What i love is that Larry switches from a 'we f*cked up' in the first few paragraphs to a 'f*ck you all' by the mid-way point.

By the end of the Blog it's almost become a rallying call to other Pros to band together and f*ck with the UCI and race organisers.

You know what Larry, sod off and i'm happy your team is collapsing. It's just a shame Cannondale signed you already cause i'd love to see the back of you.

Yeah, it is astonishing how he basically confirms that they dont even fucking cared. He should be fined hard now or disqualified, this is direct middle finger rised up against UCI and organisers. We are riders, we will do what we want because we can...

Read that blog yesterday and couldn't believe just how stupid it was, I really like how the reasons as to why the groupetto didn't attempt to make the time cut kept changing as the blog went on, all he did was confirm that they just didn't care and he tried disguise it as some type of symbol of rider protest and unity Rolling Eyes

I don't think you should condemn the whole grupetto based on the comments of one individual. There would have been some riders who would have wanted to chase back initially but if the majority of riders don't want to/can't then at some point even the riders chasing are going to say "I'm not doing all the work".
Sky made a concerted effort to chase back initially. But when it became apparent they were the only team chasing then they eventually gave up. It was also commented on Eurosport that riders from Movistar and Tinkoff in the Grupetto were disrupting the chase to slow the grupetto down. It's a lot more complicated then simply saying all 90 odd riders intentionally set out to simply not try. Some obviously did try to chase back.

It's kind of logical that Tinkoff or Movistar wouldn't matter if 1-2 riders go home, if full Sky team is send home

Agreed. But what I'm saying is they were intentionally trying to slow the group down. So it's unfair to say all 94 riders just sat up and intentionally gave up. Some riders did make an effort to get back but if the majority are not helping/deliberately hindering the progress then it is inevitable that the chasing riders will give up at some point.
In hindsight the best thing to do may have been for the Froome/Chaves group to sit up and wait for the Grupetto as soon as the split happened.

I call bullsh*t on the "Cause some riders wanted to rest we all rested", because i've read enough biographies which included tales of individuals, twos, small groups attacking away from a Gruppetto for a variety of reasons. If a rider genuinely cared about making the time limit they would have attacked, and i've never hear of a Gruppetto chasing a rider down because he attacked away from them. It's another bullsh*t excuse this group is tryingto get out there.

Initially i had some sympathy for them, but the more they try and defend themslves the bigger a hole they dig. And quite frankly i wish they'd all ride down it and dissapear

I literally can't believe that Larry guy has the audacity to write such a trivial shit piece of excuses. No rule was broken, ha!

This my favourte paragraph actually, the one where he does a little Lenin and imagines the power of riders..

"Much of the cycling world may not agree with how we rode the stage that day, but our lack of speed showed our increasing power. Each time we band together, we show that we are not powerless. And if we continue to support each other, to work together for the betterment of the sport that we all love, we have the power to make the changes we would like to see happen."

The guy is practically saying that: Hey if we all do it, we can do everything. Sure, that's an important dynamic you need to understand when it comes to working tarifs and social policy but how illiterate is this guy that he apparently doesn't know basic rules of group dynamics. Yeah genius, the workers hold power in their numbers, as do cyclists.. The thought must've come to you on the road because you certainly didn't ride that day

But this stage has shown that these guys just do it for your self-interest. They havn't done it for the betterment of the sport as he claims, they wanted an easy ride and they got it. Just don't make up excuses and bend the truth. 54 minutes on a 2:54 stage.

If I was one of those pricks I'd just shut up and wait till the storm passed.

Yeah I remember some guys were actually (sort of) bullied into staying in the group. We all stay together they won't throw us out. Just incredible that these guys are pros and behave towards racing in such a way.

If these are the changes they'd like to see happening, I'd rather have UCI in charge. And that's saying something Pfft

Well some riders definitely are quite active in these things, like Kittel I think. Larry could refer to motors on the road, security for riders. Stuff like that, where cyclists really want change happening.

He could also hint to a new anti-doping system, one that would be better for cyclists, which would be a negative outcome. I can't say what he hints at because he doesn't mention the betterment itself. But I'm just confused how he pretends that this a lesson he took out of this stage and that actually their collective action is ok because of these lessons learned. It's really phony.

This is the most cringey paragraph I've ever read.

Strong breeeze blowing for today's TT stage - most of the way will be headwind or cross-head just to make life interesting. Tremendous amount of speedbumps/road furniture all over the course, although it appears a decent job has been done trying to 'funnel' the riders through via hoardings, etc.

My guess will be a good TTist who has had the opportunity to take things 'easy' since the rest day should be victor. Some of the early starters are taking it well easy though - wonder what the time-cut will be, and will it be enforced Wink.

Chaves already 45 seconds slower than Contador, before 10 km

And Froome 30 seconds on Quintana, like km 7
