Wow brilliant from Guerreiro! The two above in the GC are not likely to hold on to their position. Also great work from Chavarri leading the KOM

Also, Sagan, Lutsenko? WTF? AbhishekLFC wrote:

Great way to get through his first TDF mountain stages for sure. As for Dumoulin, Sagan and Lutsenko, they really benefit from the extremely long time trial and their big engine. If the main climbers don't make this a real race they could stay in the top 10 until the very end. ![Shock](../images/smiley/shock.gif)
Abhishkek: they likely won't, but some stronger climbers (Quintana, Aru, Landa) could still come from behind. He's taken steps but definitely not to their level yet. Many leaders seem to be underperforming atm though. #Eder4PolkaDots

Tour de France (2.UWT) ![i.imgur.com/OXwpbMJ.png](https://i.imgur.com/OXwpbMJ.png) Stage 13/21, 208.2 kms
Pello bridged to the breakaway after 2 climbs. His company consisted of costauds mostly, among whom Lampaert, Drucker, Roelandts & Ligthart. Pello would pay for that bridging near the 10km to go banner. The other escapees had to try to survive with an advantage of only a mere minute. That minute did not suffice. Ruben did a brilliant job leading out Carlos, with Manuel sitting in between; we could even challenge Sunweb's train. We dropped back a bit when Manuel's turn wasn't good enough. Carlos' strong sprint still got him 9th place. Coquard won the close bunch sprint. Tour de France (2.UWT) ![i.imgur.com/OXwpbMJ.png](https://i.imgur.com/OXwpbMJ.png) Stage 14/21, 227.8 kms
Five escapees in Andriato, Spengler, van der Lijke, Herklotz and Ligthart. Their gap grew so quickly that it soon became clear they'd make it today. Despite having the strongest sprint, Andriato did not want to count on it. He tried to shake the others, 3 km from the line, with a late acceleration. Spengler and Ligthart lost contact right away. Only Herklotz and van der Lijke could still deny the Brasilian champion this very prestigious victory. Herklotz, who had reacted first, couldn't catch Andriato's wheel. Van der Lijke looked more and more capable of truly achieving that principal goal. Van der Lijke had to empty his tank to the very bottom, yet his reward's one to never forget. Andriato was denied a second Grand Tour stage win. Minutes later, Kittel finally beat Coquard in a bunch sprint. Sadly for 6th. Tour de France (2.UWT) ![i.imgur.com/zMBJxFz.png](https://i.imgur.com/zMBJxFz.png) Stage 15/21, 172.1 kms
Having tried to grab some points at the first climb, Eder ended up in the breakaway. Jesús Herrada and Kenny Elissonde were the other escapees. Eder could not keep Elissonde from getting 3 points more than him. Both riders decided to call it a day 30km from the finish. Herrada continued on his own with a decreasing advantage, which had shrunk to around 1'05". Herrada got caught and another trio attacked. Meintjes, Barguil, Frank all could get a little space because of their disappointing positions in the GC. Frank got rid of the other two before the top. One slippery descent to go. Knowing that he wouldn't stand a chance in a bunch sprint, Ruben tried to sneak away in the descent. He'd quickly catch up with Warren Barguil. Ruben also reeled in Meintjes, but nobody gets too much space if Sagan has his mind fixed on a certain goal. Ruben got caught soon afterwards. Frank suffered the same fate in the last hundreds of meters. Sagan's 2nd
victory was the outcome of a stage that didn't cause a single GC change. Ruben doesn't seem to have any stress on the biggest of races, great performance so far indeed As Eder is going strong as well, our task to renew their contracts won't get any easier

Tour de France (2.UWT) ![i.imgur.com/xFpGiMO.png](https://i.imgur.com/xFpGiMO.png) Stage 16/21, 175.7 kms
Logically, Eder joined the break to protect his jersey. Apart from Helling, the group consisted of strong climbers such as Elissonde, Chaves, Daniel Martin, Giro KoM jersey Vuillermoz, Jesus Herrada, Simon Clarke, Pigeon. Helling was also the first to get dropped on Col d'Izoard. On the steepest slopes (>10%) inside the last 3 km, Eder tried to thin the group further. He was rewarded for that effort with maximum points atop the HC climb. Only Esteban Chaves and polka dot contender Kenny Elissonde sat close. Before the 2nd cat Col du Lautaret, most of the former group came back. Eder came fourth on the top, afterwards the group worked well until the foot of Alpe d'Huez. Their gap over the peloton had been decreased to 4'. Eder noticed his gap to the others for the 1st time under the 10k banner. Meanwhile Movistar started to pace from the very foot under the impetus of Contador and Landa. Ruben had not started the final climb in the best position. He needed an effort to rejoin the Group Maillot Jaune (see back). He impressively found a way through the whole group to appear near the front. When Ruben sped up only a couple of GC contenders could follow. No looking back for Eder, as he climbed his way through hairpins & past chalets and crazy Dutch fans. Inside the barriered last 2km he had 2'39". The other escapees were caught just before the final km. Ruben couldn't keep up with the best of the favorites and was losing some -31- seconds. But today will certainly go down as what must be one of the biggest days in our team history. Eder wins atop Alpe d'Huez in the polka dot jersey, a truly brilliant way to achieve the sponsor goal. And what about Ruben? Kelderman won the sprint for 2nd, with Pardo, Quintana, Pinot coming in seconds later. Ruben came 7th, and lost 49" to them. At last, Dumoulin cracked. Thibaut Pinot will be the one in le Maillot Jaune as of tomorrow. RuralvÃa @ Le Tour de France Eder Chávarri's statement Woooooow! As a child, you spend hours trying to imagine how crazy it would be to win atop a renowned climb like Alpe d'Huez. Now I know that words are never going to get even close to describing the actual feeling.
All I can say is that I'm very grateful to everyone surrounding me. To my family, back in Balmaseda, for supporting me ever since I first got my bike. To our truly amazing team, that's allowed me to chase my dreams. There is no way I'd want to be with another one anytime soon. I have signed a new 2y-deal with RuralvÃa! Eder's palmares since joining 2017-2019

Definitely one lots of young riders would kill for. Hopefully we'll be able to add some more lines over the next couple of years now that he's staying.
