Snow on Sestriere?
I'm pissed! They should have prepared for cases like this could happen?! It is one of the biggest grand tours.. come on..

No Sestriere isn't that much of a problem. It's hardly a climb.
Rather sestriere out and Galibier in the, the other way around.

So the Giro is officially over.
They will only ride over Telegraphe tomorrow on a 60km stage. No Cenis or Galibier.
Stelvio stage will be cancelled too. The Giro is over before it started. |

The new route will go through the Susa valley, up to the final climb. I'm not sure what exact route they'll take, but the profile will look something like this:

Confirmed.

At least at Vuelta those final climbs had slopes over 20% were u could create a gap today the max slope is 11% 500 mts before the finish line.

You're not saying that the final climb is too easy to create gaps, are you?
Dude, it's 7 km at an average gradient of 9%. Also, the maximum gradient is 14%, not 11%. This climb is frickin' brutal. If this doesn't cause gaps, I don't know what does.

Definatly for the favourites today as Weening, Martinez and Stetina, three good climbers, crashed out of the break. So Colbrelli, Paolini, Trentin and Pietropolli remain in front
