Yes, but the other 35 riders are fighting for the 10th place. |

Stage 4: Feuchtwangen (ITT)
*** Favourites ***
Cancellara (MCS), Rogers (DOM), Boogedal (NAC)
Detreute lost his GC chances in the first stage, but today he is aiming to regain some of his honour.
35’54’’ is the time to beat.
Michael Rogers was eliminated from the GC on stage 2 and today he shows what he could have achieved.
1 second faster than Detreute on both the two intermediate times and 8 seconds in the end.

Surprisingly Rogers time in the intermediates is beaten by Gerdemann.
In the end he is only 8 seconds faster though.
Boogedal disappoints in spite of being named a pre-stage favourite. 11th place is less than what was expected from him.
Cancellara has chosen a highly surprising helmet for todays stage. There’s nothing surprising about him setting best time on the intermediate times.
The Swiss rider is 8 seconds faster than Rogers in finish and can start celebrating the win since there’s no good TT’ists left.
Time for the 9 riders contesting for the GC.
Nathan Haas is the fastest among 2nd to 8th place.

Once again Tankink is the strongest of the 9
But only on the intermediate times...

Stage 5: Feuchtwangen – Bamberg
*** Favourites ***
Kittel (SGM), Rojas (NAC), Ciolek (ABC)

Envigorated by the breakaways success on stage 3 Gruzdev opens the attacking right from the first km.
Gerdeman (RBM) takes the first sprint ahead of Pipp (CSC), Cimolai (BUL), Detreute (MAG), Kohler (MCS), Gruzdev (HAI) and Coyot (SEP).
Gerdeman is the best placed on the 7 in the GC 3’57’’ behind.

As the break rides calmly over the KOM since none of them can take the jersey it’s Nintendo and ING in charge of the peloton.
6’54’’ behind with 100 km to go seems reasonably safe.

The break can’t be bothered sprinting for the second intermediate either. With 83 km to go they still have a gap of 6’50’’
70 km and 6’01’’
60 km and 5’08’’
50 km and 4’30’’ – are the peloton losing a bit of momentum?

40 km and 3’37’’ – Nintendo and SGL doing all the work in the peloton.
With 30 km to go and 2’43’’ the breakaway holds on to a slim chance of success, while the GC win seems fairly safe for ING.

No drama in the final intermediate sprint with 20 km to go. Just under two minutes to the peloton makes for an exciting finish!
15 km and 1’31’’

10 km and 1’04’’ – looks like it might come down to the final km

Here we have the explanation of Allianz – BMW’s absence today. Ciolek at the very back of the peloton with 10 km to go. He just avoided the crash behind. None of the major riders are caught behind.

Going by the schedule there is a gap of 36 seconds going in to the final 5 km.

For the first time in this race we have two distinct trains.
Selig and Belka start their leadouts as soon as we hit the final 3 km.

1,7 km and the break is almost caught. Rojas opens his sprint while Kittel is still sitting behind Schulze

Final km. Detreute is the last breaker to get passed by the sprinters. Rojas in front followed by Gavazzi and Davis.
Kittel almost colliding with the Mavic car a little further behind.

500 m. Rojas is first into the final bend followed by Davis, Gavazzi, Kittel and Van Dijk.

100 m left!
Kittel finally lives up to expectations!
