Before we call him let's point out that the World Jury is made up of international jury members that are not from the competing country. Their points have been combined to hand out the same amount of points as the other competing countries. So, let's call Geneva! Good evening Ban Ki-Moon!
Yes, it is time to hear from the jury of industry professionals, we have been captivated by all 18 performances tonight and we would lie to congratulate them and Macedonia on what has been a fantastic 8th edition of the contest. Good to see Elton getting some proper coverage after people continue to refuse to vote for him. Thanks Ewan!
I'm glad Iceland and NZ are the team'a battling out second behind Elton though, Ireland too. but clearly you made a typo with Faroe Islands? Also you forgot to put the country right at the top on the leaderboard.

Where is the love for our winter themed entry? Hopefully the non finalists let us climb a little higher. It would be cool to see OMAM pick up another win and really cement their place in the DSC history books.
The NQs destroyed everything good of this edition of the DSC...no Broods winning we at least achieved the Top 10, though the goal to beat Tunisia failed sadly - shitty real ESC songs competing for senseless nations...
We've heard from every finalist and the world jury and we are almost there. The next segment of the show is the all-important NQ Vote (the non-qualifiers vote) where all the points sent in from the countries that didn't qualify to the final have been combined together. This is a new record for Greece who take home the DSC crown across our southern border after competing 7 times in the Daily Song Contest. New Zealand as well have a new record after Broods at one point looked like they were going to win the whole thing. They received the most 12 points tonight with a grand total of 5, meaning that 18.75% of the competing countries gave New Zealand 12 points, including the NQ vote. Also, this is the 2nd time in a row that the trophy moves over a border, first from Bulgaria to Macedonia, and now from Macedonia to Greece! Here they are, our winners, from Greece, Foals!
Yannis, you are the lead singer, the true Greek, how do you feel about winning? This is crazy. We didn't get a single pair of 12 points in the voting so we thought we'd get a solid podium place, but when the likes of New Zealand and Iceland and even Ireland were called out so early in the NQ vote, then we thought it was possible. All these artists we were so grateful to perform with, this DSC has been full of true performers and real music, that's what triumphed tonight!
What will this mean to Greece? Well, I hope 7 becomes the national number after this! I hope people will be on their feet waving their flags like we were. Greece is in my genes, my heart and it is my true nation!
Congratulations to all of you; before you sing your winning song, what do you want to say to all your new fans across the world? If you like music, like it. There shouldn't be anything or anyone that should separate you from what you like, whether that's about music, life choices, anything. You just have to be yourself and people will appreciate you for who you are.
Congratulations once again, here's former winner Daniel Kajmokoski to hand over the 8th Daily Song Contest trophy! Greece are the winners!
Sadly everything has to come to an end somehow. After 4 great shows, 18 acts made it to compete the final from the 32 who started the journey weeks ago at the DSC launch party. 18 has become 1 as Greece emerge the winners of the 8th edition. We, from Skopje, would like to thank every delegation for getting involved, every head of delegation for organising a jury and selecting songs and you, the public at home for voting and watching the 8th Daily Song Contest. We are forever grateful! Now to sing us out for the 8th time in history, it's time for your DSC winners Foals from Greece with the song 'Mountain At My Gates'!
See, the NQs don't have a good taste in Music, and shouldn't be allowed to vote, except trek and Matt who got robbed
Nah My top 5 all in top 10 and four of them in top 5 is pretty good and at least we got deserving good performers at least - congrats to Greece and a shame Germany only got top 10 :/
