Yeah, but they are all riders that can take a podium but not a win in a big race. Boogerd? The eternal second?

i've got to admit i was quite surprised by that transfer but good luck to him, always good to see a young British rider join a WT team other than Sky. |

I hope Europcar can get a good next year, even if they're not signing some top cyclists

PCM06 sure says so too, so it must be true
but aren't you forgetting Flecha?
Yup, great rider. I don't think he got any major wins while riding for Rabo though

I remember that in my older PCM versions Rabobank won heaps of races with different riders, which shows how unrealistic those games were. |

@Riis: Ten Dam has only improved over the years so I don't know what to expect. I expect him to be good in the Tour once again, but all my hopes are aimed at Kelderman for the Tour.
IMO TeamLottoNl has a good team, good enough to stay in the WT. But I would like one good signing though. Only Belgium, Dutch and German riders by the way. I like that. |

Count me in on that.
I really like Kelderman, and i hope that he can pull off a Top 5 GT next year. Also i hope, that Gesink wins some races after that hard time of his.

LottoNL next season.
My guess:
-Kelderman to lead the Tour.
-Kruiswijk/Gesink to lead Giro.
-Ten Dam to lead Vuelta.
So their only hopes are in the Tour, would be really nice if they could sign a rider who will perform in GT's but doesn't get too many chances to lead, e.g. fuglsang. For a dutch/belgian/german team signing someone like Van den Brouck may not be too bad either. Losing Mollema certainly hurts cause he was definitely their top GC rider. And they need a good cobbler to replace Boom as Vanmarcke's main helper.

Van Asbroeck does that and will hopefully be good enough to be a second leader in a couple of years.

Even if Wilco Kelderman do a GT I don't think he'll do a top 5 his team isn't that strong to help him in the mountain

He doesn't need more than Ten Dam or Gesink...his team won't do the major pulls, so he just needs someone if he gets dropped.

I doubt Gesink will go again to the Giro. He tends to suffer in bad weather and you have more rainy days in Giro day in any other GT.
I think he will join Kelderman at the Tour and to be honest I see him doing better than Kelderman.
For the Vuelta, the leader will probably be whoever fails at the Tour.
As for, Fuglsang and Van den Broeck, they are worse than Gesink and Kelderman so I doubt they would be an improvement.
My guess the budget is significantly smaller than Belkin's or Rabobank's so that's why they won't have a very impressive roster next season.

I really don't think jakob Fuglsang is worst but let's not forget that most of the time he needs to work for its leader nibali |

Well, he's almost 30 and only has one GT top 10 in his career. That's not exactly good pedigree for a stage racer.
As you said, he wasn't always the leader, but, I think, that if he had felt that he was strong enough to be the absolute leader in a team, he could have found a team that would allow him to be one.

Money is important when you are in your best years (28-32/33)
Perhaps he did have offers from smaller WT teams or PCT but if they offered less money then Astana.
It would be lovely if all cyclist just road to win, but someone have to be domestique and surely we can all understand that riders are trying to earn for the rest of their living in their 10-16 years in the world of cycling. |

A professional cyclist make the same amount of money during a career as a player in the premier league make in a month so i feel they have the right to be greedy if i knew i would never win one of the big races i rather be in a team riding for someone else making good salary rather than goes to a small team getting that fifth place for half the salary... I remember there were many on here criticized Geraint for signing a new contract with Sky this summer
And back to the topic: Petacchi and Pozzato rumored to Neri Sottoli, not sure what i feel about that
