Well, it seems that Sean Kelly doesn't stop. Even while we were in Spain, he kept working hard and made two new signings, which I sure am happy about. Here they are:
Gonzalo Perez
Obviously my young fan Carlo's older brother, Gonzalo impressed in the Charity Race after a great last season at a lower level. That was enough for Sean to go all in and bring the 19-year-old sprinter to the team. I'm really excited to work with him, as he's already a good friend, and of course a great cyclist.
Rodrigo Montoya
Remember this guy? Probably not, unless you've been following me from the very start. And I mean the VERY start. This guy, another sprinter, was the one who almost knocked me out of my professional career, but instead the shoe was on the other foot. I obviously have no hard feelings, but first impressions show that he maybe doesn't feel the same way. Hopefully we'll be alright before too long, because otherwise it's not good news.
During the training camp I also had my usual chat with Sean about my schedule and objectives. That'll all come soon, and before you know it I'll see you at San Luis!
Fabio

While at the camp, I talked to Sean about my schedule, and here's how it looks for the season ahead.
Tour de San Luis [Jan 20-26]
Obviously I'll start at home as usual, and this year I'll be raring to go, and hopefully challenge for the GC.
Tour of Oman [Feb 18-23]
This is a very mountainous race, so I'll see based on the squad we send whether I'll be leading or supporting someone else. Looking forward to it nonetheless.
Tour de Langkawi [Feb 27-Mar 8]
Another tough race, but an Asian season I'm really excited about, because I'll have the chance to really impress in the higher mountains.
Strade Bianche [Mar 9]
I'll be straight on the plane from the end of Langkawi to make it to Italy the next day for this historical race. As usual a nice hilly profile for my first classic of the season.
Tirreno-Adriatico [Mar 12-18]
Fortunately I won't have to travel much for this one, but a huge race after a congested period could be tough. I'll keep fighting though, and work for whoever the leader is and go for the win.
GP de Cholet [Mar 23]
Another race in this period, but going back to Cholet will always be great for me. Hopefully I can repeat the scenes of when I got my first professional win.
Vuelta a Pais Vasco [Apr 7-12]
A big objective for me this season, I'll be leading and as usual going for a high GC position.
Ardennes Classics [Apr 20, 23 & 27]
I'll be leading all of the Ardennes classics, and hopefully I'll be able to this year get that win that has eluded me here so far.
Tour of California [May 11-18]
While some will be at the Giro, I'll be in the US; but instead of catching some sun I'll be going for a victory here.
Tour de Suisse [Jun 14-22]
My warm up race for the Tour de France. Hopefully I'll be able to get some good preparation.
Tour de France [Jul 5-27]
Here it is! I reckon we'll be working for Thibaut to retain his title, but hopefully I can get a sort of free role to see what I can do.
Vuelta a Burgos [Aug 12-17]
Another race where I'll be happy to return. A perfectly suited course for me this year.
GP de Plouay [Aug 31]
Not a bad race at all. A really tough circuit and one with I reckon I can do really well in.
Canadian Classics [Sep 12 & 14]
Quebec and Montreal. Both very similar races, both suited to me. Nothing else to say really. Hopefully I can pick up a couple of good results up in moose country.
Tour du Gevaudan-Roussillon [Sep 27-28]
Staying up north, a couple of very interesting and difficult stages for me and my teammates.
Milano-Torino [Oct 1]
A really nice race with some two very difficult climbs at the end. Will be tough for sure.
Chrono des Nations [Oct 19]
The famous big time trial. Hopefully by this point I'll be good enough at the chrono to challenge the upper echelon here.
Japan Cup [Oct 20]
One of my favourite races to ride, and I'll for sure be looking to succeed in this race.
Alright, so that's my schedule for this year! Hopefully we'll see some Fabio Melani victories on those scoreboards by the end of the season. See you in San Luis!
-Fabio

Hey guys,
Unfortunately, in case you hadn't guessed, this story is over. I tried so, so hard to fix it but in the end there were too many problems with my game. Also, I've obviously not been on the forum very much lately, and haven't really had time. Who knows? I may even bring back Fabio, because I've had so much fun and so many great times writing this story. If anyone thinks that they can take the riders from my team and put them into a database from PCM15, then that'd fix it. Nothing else, but just the riders.
Thanks,
Cycleman
